WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: On Tuesday, November 29, 2022, Peacock dropped a new documentary series featuring the infamous Casey Anthony. The mother of the slain toddler broke her silence after over 13 years in an intensive interview featured in the three-part documentary. Casey, who had been accused of murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee Anthony in 2008, was acquitted of murder charges after the jury found her not guilty in 2011. And the verdict enraged everyone who followed the case. Now once again, after over a decade, America is fuming over the case as Peacock released the acquitted mother’s “point of view”.
Directed by Alexandra Haggiag Dean, the docuseries titled ‘Casey Anthony: Where The Truth Lies’ features the defamed mother who is blaming the girl's father George Anthony for her disappearance and death. Casey claims that she believed Caylee was alive when her dad took the child away. She said, “There’s no way to explain that unless he put her in the pool to cover up what he did.” She also accused her father of sexually abusing her and claimed she feared he also molested Caylee, adding, “I regret every day I didn’t come forward with what he did to me.”

Casey’s claims of George having abused and murdered the young girl enraged netizens all over. Many people claimed that the once-accused mother was using the platform provided by Peacock to lie again for money. Twitter users slammed the streaming service for giving her a platform “to spread more lies.” One person bashed Peacock for giving Casey a platform as they wrote, “This b***h right here. They should not give her any kind of a platform to speak on.” Another said, “That makes me want to cancel my Peacock subscription.”
One person wrote, “So…she’s broke…needs cash…and Peacock is going to accommodate her?? I’ve deleted the Peacock app.” While another netizen added, “I was thinking of getting Peacock channel. This right here changed my mind I will never give Peacock a dime…..”
One tweeted, “Apparently in the new Peacock doc, Casey Anthony says her daughter Caylee drowned. there, no need to listen to her lie for hours and give her any kind of satisfaction, viewers, or money. she should never have been given a platform like this when everyone knows what happened.”
Another was furious with Peacock and claimed, “Giving Casey Anthony a public platform to tell old and new lies about the murder of her daughter Caylee is so disgustingly irresponsible of Peacock. I hope their users show them with a drop in subscriptions. I know now I will never consider them.”
One person said, “People coming together on twitter to let Peacock know how they feel about that Casey Anthony documentary.”
