The disappearance and murder of Caylee Anthony took America by storm. While most believed the person responsible for the murder of 2-year-old Caylee was the toddler's mother, Casey Anthony, the latter was declared "not guilty." She was acquitted of charges of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, and aggravated manslaughter of a child, but found guilty of only four counts of making false statements to a law enforcement officer. An entire nation raged at the "most hated mother in America" who left court with almost no punishment. But recently the case was reopened after Casey accused her father, George Anthony, of sexual abuse and even accused him of murdering Caylee.
Casey, who did not testify at her own trial, has decided to come forward and tell her story in an interview as part of Alexandra Haggiag Dean's new three-part documentary titled 'Casey Anthony: Where The Truth Lies.' The docu-series will feature Casey's account of the case and will include her personal archive, behind-the-scenes footage, and defense evidence. Casey's decision to finally speak out comes nearly 13 years after the horrific murder of her daughter. What has she been up to and where is Casey now? These are some questions on everyone's mind. Well, here is what the "most hated mother in America" has been up to since the events of Caylee's death.

Where is Casey Anthony now?
in 2008, Casey Anthony made headlines after she failed to report her missing infant daughter Caylee, who was last seen on June 16, 2008. After 31 days, Casey's mother, Cindy Anthony, called 911 to report that her granddaughter had been missing for a month and claimed Casey's car smelled like decomposition. Casey had claimed a nanny, Zenaida Gonzalez, had abducted Caylee, but when authorities began investigating the disappearance, no connection to the nanny was found and Casey was found to be lying. Casey had even lied about her job at Universal Studios.
Later in December, Caylee's remains were found in a wooded area near the Anthonys' home in two trash bags. Soon after, authorities arrested Casey for blatantly lying about Caylee's whereabouts, and it was alleged that Casey had murdered Caylee to absolve herself of parental responsibility. However, no one was able to prove Casey was guilty; she was eventually charged only for her lies. In July 2011, she was sentenced to four years in county jail and fined $1,000 for each count. Casey served no jail time after the trial and received credit for time served.
After the trial, Casey apparently took her relationship with Patrick McKenna, the lead investigator on her defense team, a step further by moving in with him. She even tried to open her own photography business called Case Photography LLC in 2016, but it was shut down shortly after launching. In 2020, Casey even started a private investigation company in Florida to help others facing serious legal charges. In June 2019, she revealed that she was working on a film titled 'As I Was Told,' which was about her life after Caylee's death. She claimed the film was titled "As I Was Told" because she did what she was told and played a false role during the 31 days the trial lasted. But the film did not happen because of Covid. Casey later began work on the Peacock documentary series by Alexandra Dean.
Casey currently resides in West Palm Beach, Florida. Apparently, she spends her time partying, playing poker, drinking beer, and meeting friends while building a social life. She has even expressed that she hopes to have more children one day. There have also been rumors that Casey is meeting new people and is interested in dating.
‘Casey Anthony: Where The Truth Lies’ is set to premiere on November 29 on Peacock.
