LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: After the controversial Oscars last year, where Will Smith striking Chris Rock overshadowed the brilliant winners, this year fans anticipate that their favourite films will have their moment in the spotlight without being hijacked by scandals.

The nominations for the Academy Awards, better known as the Oscars, were released on Tuesday, January 24, and as much as fans love to see their favourite films in the list, they also love to treat their eyes to the epic Twitter reactions that just adds to the entire experience of the Oscars. 

Our hearts were racing as the 95th Academy Awards nominations got announced. The nominations of the Best Adapted Screenplay category has 'told you so' written all over it. The list has the names of the movies that changed the course of American cinema and made an impact on the fans.

The best part of the nominations were the predictions that come before the announcement and the fan reactions after. The internet breaks everytime this happens, and it just makes the entire experience of the Oscars more entertaining. All the entertainment apart, here's the nominations for Best Adapted Screenplay category: Rian Johnson's 'The Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery', Edward Berger's 'All Quiet on the Western Front', Oliver Hermanus' 'Living', Joseph Kosinski's 'Top-Gun Maverick', Sarah Polley's 'Women Talking'. 



 

As soon as the list of nominations were released for the category, fans went either berserk, ranty, angry or just plain jolly. While some celebrated their favourite actor/actress from the movies, some celebrated the screeplay writers for their brilliant scripts. Twitter became a battleground as soon as the nominations were released.

One fan said, "What is top gun maverick adapted from?" Another questioned, "How is Glass Onion not an original screenplay?" Some fans shared a fun GIF to celebrate their favourite movie and actor/actress. A fan got confused which one to choose from the nomination list and shared, "Ngl....I can't choose between Topgun Maverick and Glass Onion A Knives Mystery, they are both great to me." Another fan expressed their anger about 'The Black Panther' not getting nominations and shared, "THE BLACK PANTHER 2 GOT SNUB!" Lastly, a fan tweeted, "WOMEN TALKING!!!!!!!!!!!", while expressing their happiness for the movie being nominated. 



 



 



 



 



 



 

Although the nominations are out, it seems like the fans are rooting for 'Women Talking' to win. We will know the final declaration of who wins on Sunday, March 12.
