Fans thrilled after Michelle Yeoh gets nominated at Oscars 2023 for 'Everything Everywhere All At Once'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Crazy Rich Asians' actress, Michelle Yeoh had a fantastic start to this year especially after she won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy. However, after the Golden Globe now is the time for one of the most prestigious award cermonies in the world, the Academy awards. Needless to say, Yeoh has succesfully secured her name under one category at the upcoming award ceremony. 

'Everything Everywhere All at Once's plot centers on a Chinese-American immigrant (played by Yeoh) who, while being audited by the IRS, discovers that she must connect with parallel universe versions of herself to prevent a powerful being from destroying the multiverse. Apart from Yeoh, the film also stars  Stephanie Hsu, Ke Huy Quan, Jenny Slate, Harry Shum Jr., however, James Hong, and Jamie Lee Curtis, appear in supporting roles. Michelle Yeoh, 60, has just received her first ever Oscar nomination in the Best Actress category for her role in 'Everything Everywhere All At Once.' This also marks the first time a Malaysian has been nominated in the Academy Awards. Apart from her, there was Cate Blanchett for 'Tar,' Ana De Armas for 'Blonde,' Andrea Riseborough for 'To Leslie,' and lastly, Michelle Williams for 'The Fabelman.'



 

Regardless, after much anticipation and predictions fans are ecstatic to see their favorite actress being nominated for Best Actress. A fan said, "Damn I did not expect to see Michelle Yeoh up there but I am extremely happy for that." A fan commented, "It's Michelle Yeoh's year. Let's all agree," while another added, "It's a bettle between Blanchett & Yeoh. Blanchett's performance was a tour de force & the main reason to watch TAR, but Yeoh's performance was so layered, multi-faceted, & different from her usual roles that it edged out Blanchett's as the best performance by an actress in 2023." A fan wrote, "We’re living in the year of Yeoh Cant wait to see her grab that statue!!" Lastly, a fan shared, "michelle yeoh. other than her is good but michelle yeoh deserve this after her good performance in eeaao eventhough she's already starred in expensive movie like MCU & transformers. but this time she own this."
