LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The highly anticipated Lives round on 'The Voice' Season 22 kicked off with the Top 16 artists taking to the stage on Monday, November 14th night's episode of the NBC show. Team Legend's Omar Cardona opened the night with a moving performance Bon Jovi's 'Livin' On a Prayer'. While the four-chair turn artist has been a top contender to win the season thanks to his impeccable performances in the past, unfortunately, his latest rendition of the iconic Bon Jovi song didn't sit too well with the fans.

Though 'The Voice' judges- John Legend, Blake Shelton, Camila Cabello, and Gwen Stefani, showered Omar's performance with praises and urged the audience to vote for his incredible talent, fans didn't share the same feeling. Many fans felt that the Bon Jovi's song didn't suit his vocals and declared that his performance fell short.

A fan commented on the show's YouTube clip of her performance, "I'm sure one of my favorites to win. But maybe this song wasn't the best choice, but Omar is definitely a star!" "I wish he used another song for that talented voice of his ! I still voted for omar tho," wrote a fan. "This is quite a challenging song. I must say he did his best with that vocal range and it was entertaining. He can do better though," noted a fan. "Not the best song choice, but he’s a BEAST!!" declared a fan. "As a huge fan of Omar I must say that this song was not the one in terms of choice but he still did a great job with it considering it didn't really suit him!" echoed a fan.

Aside from the wrong song choice, some fans even noted the "pitchiness" in his performance. A fan shared, "His weakest performance on the Voice this season — his voice was pitchy and didn’t hold certain notes long enough.. and compared to original was wrong key (sounded screechy). And he is my top pick this season.. still gonna vote him up but he has to do better next round! Come on Omar!!" "Every week I’m always impressed by what his voice can do with such little strain, but to me the first third of the performance ran into some breath/control issues. I’d love to see him cover something and twist it to make it his own, or do something that shows a little more dynamics," seconded a fan. "This is the 1st performance of his I didn't really enjoy, but dude got skills!" added a fan. "Omar's been my favorite so far. Love his voice and love his beautiful eyes. But, this was my least favorite of all his songs. For me it was just screaming all the way through. I felt he should have toned it down a bit. But, I'm not worried about him getting through. He's fabulous and I know he'll go very far in his career. Wonderful voice Omar!" critiqued a fan.

Hopefully, Omar's wrong choice won't cost him his spot amongst the Top 13 on 'The Voice' Season 22.

'The Voice' Season 22 airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8/7c on NBC.
