LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Netflix is getting its enticing additions in check and adding some raunchy series to its list. 'Obsession' is the new erotic thriller series by Netflix that is set to premiere on April 13, 2023. The "sexy" series has developed a genre in itself, taking some lessons from the 'Fifty Shades' franchise and seducing the audience through their TV screens. 'Obsession' has been adapted from a novella titled 'Damage by Josephine Hart'. The script was written by Morgan Lloyd-Malcolm and Benji Walters. It explores the dangers of lust and the morals behind desire. The book was an instant success that carefully unveils erotic obsession and an unflinching look at the consequences that come with such actions.

The cast of the Netflix Limited series features Richard Armitage and Charlie Murphy in lead roles. Other members of the cast include Anil Goutam, Rish Shah, Sonera Angel, Francesca Knight, Kerim Hassan, Victor Pontecorvo, Greg Barnett, Celine Arden, Isla Jackson-Ritchie, and Letty Thomas.

What is 'Obsession' all about?

Anna Barton is the lead character played by Charlie Murphy in the series, but the entire plot is from the perspective of William, who is Anna's soon-to-be father-in-law.  The enigmatic Anna embarks on a passionate affair with her fiance’s father William, who finds himself drawn into an obsessive spiral. But how long can they keep their secret hidden before someone gets hurt? We imagine not long at all, considering the synopsis of the show that promises "devastating consequences for the whole family".

'Why is Netflix obsessed with dark content?'

Fans are on the edge of their seats after a very provocative trailer was released by Netflix for their upcoming erotic drama series 'Obsession'. Not only did it bring out some hilarious comments by fans but they also pointed out how Netflix has been choosing some of the raciest content on their streaming service.
