LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Netflix certainly knows how and when to spice up your weekend binge-watching. The streaming platform's upcoming British erotic thriller drama is set to heat up our screens this spring. 'Obsession,' based on Josephine Hart's novel 'Damage,' tells the story of Anna Barton's illicit love affair with her fiancé's father William, a well-known surgeon in London, and how their forbidden relationship jeopardizes and alters their entire lives.

Glenn Leyburn and Lisa Barros D’Sa direct the new miniseries, with scripts by Morgan Lloyd-Malcolm and Benji Walters. Moonage Films Executive producers include Matthew Read, Frith Tiplady, and Alison Jackson of Gaumont, while veteran Gina Carter oversees production. The series is anticipated to have three or four-hour-long episodes, resulting in a total runtime comparable to that of a long feature film. Charlie Murphy and Richard Armitage star in the titular role of Anna and William.
