LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: All 'Wednesday' fans reunite as your favorite show may be getting a renewal. 'Wednesday' has been trending ever since the day of its release, either for the funky dance of Jenna Ortega as the titular character or for the viewership that the show unexpectedly brought to Netflix. However, people were intensely tensed as the streaming giant was shelving many fan-favorite shows. Nevertheless, the vague video may be a way of Netflix hinting that 'Wednesday' is all ready for a second season.

The series was released in November 2022,  to predominantly positive reviews from critics, who praised Ortega's performance. Surprisingly, within three weeks of release, it became the second-most watched English-language Netflix series. It also received two Golden Globe nominations: Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy and Best Actress - Television Series Musical or Comedy for Ortega. 'Wednesday' star Jenna Ortega feels she is very similar to her character on the show and has a 'dark sense of humor'

The official Twitter page of Netflix recently dropped a video of Ortega dressed up as 'Wednesday,' and they captioned it, "???????". In the video, Jenna Ortega can be seen sitting and writing "THE END?" on a typewriter.

Needless to say, it makes everyone question what is ending or if it is a new beginning. However, the critics' choice member, Grace Kelly, spilled the tea first regarding 'Wednesday's return by tweeting, "#wednesdayaddams season 2 is returning to #Netflix - announcement imminent! Deal is done."

Apart from Jenna Ortega who is seen as the titular character, the series also features Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Isaac Ordonez, Gwendoline Christie, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, while Fred Armisen and Christina Ricci appear in supporting roles.

The premise of the series revolves around Jenna Ortega's 'Wednesday' Addams, who is expelled from her school after dumping live piranhas into the school's pool in retaliation for the boys' water polo team bullying her brother, Pugsley. Consequently, her parents, Gomez and Morticia Addams enroll her at their high school alma mater, Nevermore Academy, a private school for monstrous outcasts, in the town of Jericho, Vermont. Wednesday's cold, emotionless personality and her defiant nature make it difficult for her to connect with her schoolmates and cause her to run afoul of the school's principal. However, she discovers she has inherited her mother's psychic abilities which allow her to solve a local murder mystery.

You can stream the first season of 'Wednesday' on Netflix.
