Golden Globes 2023 Nominations List: 'The Banshees of Inisherin' leads with 8 noms, 'Abbott Elementary' and 'Dahmer' triumph

The nominations for 80th Golden Globes are in and there are a lot of surprises

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The awards season has begun and it's time for Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) to take the centrestage by announcing the nominations for the 80th annual Golden Globes ceremony that will air on NBC on Sunday, January 10th, 2023, at 5 PM PT.

The nominations for the next year's ceremony has been announced and it's Martin McDonagh's 'The Banshees of Inisherin' that leads with 8 Noms, including Best Picture (Comedy/Musical). On the other hand, 'Everything Everywhere All At Once' comes second with six nods.

Damien Chazelle's 'Babylon' and Steven Spielberg's 'The Fabelmans' are up for 5 trophies each. 

Meanwhile, Brendan Fraser is up for the Best Actor (Drama) accolade and will be going against the likes of Austin Butler ('Elvis'), Bill Nighy ('Living'), High Jackman ('The Son'), and Jeremy Pope ('The Inspection'). 

The top films in the drama race are 'Avatar: The Way of Water,' 'Elvis,' 'The Fabelmans,' 'Tár' and 'Top Gun: Maverick'.
