Release date and how to watch

The latest edition of ‘Into the Night’ will be premiering exclusively on Netflix on Sunday, September 8, at 3 am EST. Viewers can download the Netflix app from Google Play Store and Apple App Store to watch the first season.

Plot

"While we leave our Flight 21 passengers at the end of Season 1 having finally found refuge from the sun in an old Soviet military bunker in Bulgaria, unfortunately, their respite is cut short when an accident ruins part of their food supply. Suddenly chased back out above ground, they must travel to the Global Seed Vault in Norway as a desperate attempt to secure their survival. But they are not the only ones with that idea. In the name of the greater good, our group will have to split up, play nice with the hosting military crew, and make sacrifices in a race against time.”

Spoilers

In the final moments, the crew finally lands in Bulgaria and try to find shelter. With only half an hour remaining for the sun to rise, they divide themselves in two groups and race toward the location where some survivors have made a community. One group is left behind while the other reaches the facility. Sylvie handcuffs Terenzio to the gate and asks him to wait for the other group to arrive.

The other group, unfortunately, takes the wrong route, but they somehow reach the facility. The entire group meets the defense personnel who welcome them to the camp and then ask for help. However, the sun has risen and Terenzio is still out there. He dies as soon as the rays hit him, making us feel that Sylvie is the new leader of the group.
