It's time for a brand new episode of 'NCIS' Season 18 tonight after the CBS procedural took a few weeks off. But don't get your hopes up because Episode 7 airing tonight is going to be the last 'NCIS' episode for a while. But while the network toys and teases us like this, there are also plenty of older episodes they have planned for the next few weeks when the new episode was supposed to air. Read on to find out when NCIS returns next on CBS.

According to TV listings, there won't be a new 'NCIS' episode for almost a month now. The upcoming Episode 8 of Season 18 will air all the way on Tuesday, March 2, at its usual 8 pm time slot, only on CBS. The delay in airing should most likely be blamed on strict Covid-19 guidelines while filming that probably doesn't let production of bulk episodes in advance. The occasional random breaks in the middle of the season would usually be for a week or two, but 'NCIS' and its sister spinoffs on the network have taken the liberty to go on these breaks more often and frequently this season than ever.

But well, at least there's a power-packed show promised in advance. In Episode 8 titled 'True Believer', "When Sloane's name is discovered in Afghanistan at the site of an abandoned bus with a dead driver, Gibbs accompanies her on a trip to find a group of girls who were kidnapped from the bus. Also, McGee, Bishop and Torres track down a hacker who emailed compromising information to the Taliban."

And while the new episode isn't immediately airing next week on February 16, the 400th episode of the show and this season's Episode 3 titled 'Everything Starts Somewhere' will air. For those who missed it the first time, this is your chance to see Gibbs and Ducky's story transform from the early acquaintance to the tight friendship they have now. And on the following week's Tuesday, February 23, we see Gibbs reunited with another best friend of his, Fornell, in 'Blood and Treasure' aka Season 18 Episode 4.

'NCIS' Season 18 airs on Tuesdays at 8 pm only on CBS.
