'NCIS' Season 18 Episode 6: Bishop or Torres, who will leave the team? ask fans citing 'irl agency rules'

Are we willing to risk it all up for a little romance on the show? Are 'Ellick' ready to give NCIS up for a little romance in their lives?

After the much-awaited "Ellick" moment, not all fans are thrilled about it. For those unaware, 'NCIS' team members Eleanor Bishop and Nick Torres finally admitted how much it would suck to see the other get blown up, and then came millimeters away from the highly anticipated kiss between the two that's kept fans on edge all this while. While the camera definitely panned away before the two could lock lips, a fair estimate of their feelings for each other can be made. But based on that, some fans have also expressed concern because 'IRL agency rules' don't allow dating in the same team.

The intense moment of practically baiting fans with some Ellick action happened all the way at the end of Season 18 Episode 6: '1mm', where "Following a tip about smuggled weapons, Bishop and Torres engage in a shootout in a former sheriff's residence that's now a historical site, only to find themselves locked in abandoned jail cells there." In the final moments of the episode, Bishop tells Torres she doesn't want to see him get blown up too and the two stare at each other and smile longingly, getting closer until the screen fades to black.

There's some visible uproar within the fandom about whether or not Ellick kiss and prompted some fans to tweet: "I need spoilers someone tell me. Do Eleanor and Torres kiss !?!?!?!?!" And other more impatient ones complaining "Just say you love each other and be done." Some even made fun of how bad the show has fans on the hook, writing: "#NCIS writers making everyone think Nick and Ellie are finally going to kiss," while another retweeted the post quipping "They're gonna make us wait until like the 500th episode."

But some fans were also quite engrossed in gauging the aftermath of the kiss that was never shown. "why do i have a feeling that there’s an alternate ending to the episode that they definitely filmed but they changed it to hold onto for the next time one of them gets kidnapped," tweeted a fan. Another raised a genuine concern: "Serious question for all you folks who want "Ellick" to happen. Which one, Bishop or Torres, has to leave Gibbs team? Because irl agency rules would require they be on different teams." So is that it? Along with Maria Bello's exit from the role of playing Jack Sloane we are at the risk of losing more?

It's quite the Catch 22 situation; while it would be great to have Ellick on the show considering their chemistry has always been through the roof, no one wants either Bishop or Nick to quit. Over the year, they have become just as much part of the team, albeit starting off much later than anyone else, like Gibbs, Palmer, or even McGee. Are we willing to risk it all up for a little romance on the show? Are Ellick ready to give NCIS up for a little romance in their lives? Time shall tell.

'NCIS' Season 18 airs on Tuesdays at 8pm on CBS.
