'Naomi' on The CW: 5 things you need to know about Kaci Walfall

There’s a new superhero in town and she’s going to take you on an enthralling journey that will blow your minds away. The CW’s upcoming superhero series ‘Naomi’ is set to premiere on the network soon and it has already created a lot of buzz among the viewers.

The series follows the journey of a young girl named Naomi, who suddenly discovers that she has ties with superheroes after Superman and an alien villain crash in her hometown. She and her friends embark on a journey to find the truth about Naomi’s real identity. The show seems to be a worthy addition to the network’s catalog that already has titles like ‘The Flash’ and ‘Batwoman’.

Kaci Walfall as Naomi McDuffie

One of the brightest talents in the industry, the young actress started her professional at a very young age and has laid a strong foundation for her career. Kaci began her career with a TV series titled ‘Army Wives’ in 2013 and portrayed the character of Nyah on the show. She received a lot of praise for her acting and started getting more roles. Kaci was next seen playing a cameo role in the blockbuster hit series ‘Person of Interest’.



 

Her first major acting role came in 2021 when she played Nicki in the CBS series ‘The Equalizer’ alongside Queen Latifah. She has more than 6,800 followers on Instagram and regularly updates her profile with amazing pictures.

Brightman grew up in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and worked as a tour guide at the Radio City Music Hall. On the other hand, he began his acting career in 1997 with a cameo role in the TV series ‘The Mystery Files of Shelby Who’ and went on to have roles in projects like ‘Army Wives’ and ‘Burn Notice’.

His feature film debut came in 2014 with the movie ‘Frank vs. God’. Since then, he has been seen in various ventures such as ’24: Legacy’, ‘Stranger Things’, ‘Homeland’, ‘MacGyver’, ‘Richard Jewell’ and ‘WandaVision’.

Camila Moreno as Lourdes

The Puerto Rican native is one of the new faces in Hollywood and is trying to build a career in acting. She attended the University of Puerto Rico and majored in Acting under their Drama department. She also auditioned for New York University’s Graduate Acting Program and became one of 16 applicants to be accepted out of 800 candidates.

As of now, she made her acting debut in a short movie called ‘Lose Beyond the Stars’.
‘Naomi’ will be her first major acting role and her debut on Television. Whatever we have seen in the trailers, she looks like a promising young star.



 

Mary-Charles Jones as Annabelle

Another youngster who’ll be gracing our screens during ‘Naomi’ is none other than Mary-Charles Jones. Although she is very young she has done some splendid work in her career. Jones made her acting debut in 2007 with ‘October Road’ and went on to have a cameo role in ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. In 2010, she received her first major acting role in ‘Hannah Montana’ alongside Miley Cyrus.

From 2016-2018, Jones was seen playing the role of Sara Gable on ‘Kevin Can Wait’. She was a member of the main cast and received a lot of praise for her acting.



 

Stephanie March as Akira

Born in Dallas, Texas, Stephanie March was destined to be an actress and always had a passion for it. She graduated from Northwestern University and started her initial acting career there. March did a lot of theatre plays at the university and made her screen debut in an episode of the CBS series ‘Early Edition’. In 1999, she made her debut on Broadway with ‘Death of a Salesman’ and garnered a lot of recognition.

Her movie credits include ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’, ‘The Treatment’, ‘Falling for Grace’ and more.



 

Her moment of glory came in 2000 when she was cast as Assistant District Attorney Alexandra Cabot in the hit NBC series ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’. She received a lot of praise for her role and was a series regular.

Mouzam Makkar as Jennifer McDuffie

Mouzam Makkar began her acting career in 2008 with the horror movie ‘Disgruntled’. After her debut, she was seen in several short movies and was also seen playing a supporting role in the hit series ‘Chicago Fire’. Her first major acting role came in 2016 with the TV series ‘The Vampire Diaries’ where she played the character of Alexandria.

In the same, she played Jessica in the horror series ‘The Exorcist’ and garnered praise for her acting. Her other acting credits include ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’, ‘The Fix’, ‘Champions’ and ‘Easy Abby’.
