The story behind 'Rivervale', the main plot of 'Riverdale' Season 6 is debunked. It was a parallel universe, one that would see characters be reanimated and recreated just so that the world of Riverdale could live out in a loop. And it was born out of the explosion in Archie (KJ Apa) and Betty's (Lili Reinhart) room in the finale of Season 5. The blast created a new universe where reality was distorted and it was on Jughead (Cole Sprouse) to set things right. It meant recreating the blast and sharing some steamy moments with Betty, but in the end, there was a solution, and that meant back to reality.
With that 'Riverdale' Season 6 officially enters a long hiatus, one that's worth the wait, rather painfully we might add. Part 2 will now shift focus to the actual town of 'Riverdale' where things are back to normal — Archie and Betty are still the couples, Tabitha and Jug are the new pair in town, but the promo leaves a lot to be explained. When does 'Riverdale' Season 6 Episode 6 return on The CW?
The teen drama will return on The CW on March 6, 2022. The episode will be the 101st chapter and will follow the life of the young adults in the town.
What to expect from 'Riverdale' Season 6 Part 2?
The promo hints at some supernatural, some intense action, and typical Riverdale drama. Although there is no official synopsis, we can safely assume that it takes after the events of Rivervale, which clearly a lot of the characters don't remember. The good news: There is a brand new trailer for the sixth episode of Riverdale season 6.
The clip starts with Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) telling Archie, Jug, and Betty that she invoked a curse on the trio. Betty, in the meantime, continues her sleuthing for the FBI, there's also a Betty-Veronica patch-up of sorts, and that Cheryl is seen watching someone burn. Marisol Nichols returns as Hermoine Lodge and the trailer ends with Cheryl blowing off a candle. Vague? Certainly seems that way.
