BTS x Coldplay 'My Universe' Fan Review: ARMY says 'they cheated on us with aliens'

BTS seems to have gone out of the world with Coldplay as the official music video for the Coldtan collab 'My Universe' drops

When ARMYs call BTS "out of this world" everyone else will simply have to believe them. After establishing global domination all over the world, BTS has now started treading on unfamiliar territory as they appear in outer space in a new music video with Coldplay. The BTS and Coldplay collaboration was a grand event on its own but with the addition of a new music video that involves the outer world, fans are left speechless.

The original collaborative single from Coldplay with BTS was released on September 24. The song was welcomed warmly by fans of both acts around the world and so did ARMY adore the interaction Chris Martin had with the members of BTS in the form of behind-the-scenes videos. On September 30, Coldplay released the official music video for the single, 'My Universe', where fans witnessed BTS interact with aliens.

BTS and Coldplay's 'My Universe'

After the release of the song, fans finally got in on what was possibly brewing for months. It was evident that Coldplay has visited South Korea to record the song with BTS many months ago and fans were kept from witnessing Coldplay and BTS interactions at the time to make the collab surprising to fans. When BTS finally shared clips and pictures from many months ago, ARMYs were emotional knowing well how much BTS loved and respected Coldplay and had to keep the entire ordeal a secret in order to surprise fans.

Soon after the release of the song, Coldplay performed the song, 'My Universe' live on stage for the Global Citizen Live Festival, fans got a glimpse of BTS in the form of a live video performance from South Korea. That was certainly not the end for BTS and Coldplay activities as Coldplay announced that the super collaboration will also have an official music video.

Music video

With the announcement, fans wondered if the music video was recorded in person with the two acts together. The music video dropped at 1 pm KST (12 am ET) and ARMYs saw a collaboration that was literally out of the world. In the music video, BTS and Coldplay are both in the future, in a time when listening to music was forbidden in the entire Universe.

In order to change that, Coldplay and BTS who are from two different planters are joined by a DJ from a different planet. The music video sees the three music acts come together as one and enjoy music as the silencers try to hunt them down. The music video shows a fun journey where the members of BTS virtually meet the members of Coldplay and many other aliens along the way.

'They are flirting with aliens'

The entire world knows the power of BTS and the sheer multitude of ARMYs. Despite there being so many ARMYs in the world, BTS still chose to flirt with aliens from outer space and the reactions of fans on the music video are getting funnier by the minute. One fan asked, "Why were BTS flirting with aliens?" to which another fan responded, "This many ARMY'S here on earth but our Mans cheated on us with aliens." One fan posted funny pictures of RM (Namjoon) and said, "Hopekook peacefully shooting with a green screen on and then watching they are flirting with aliens in mv."

One fan asked a trivial question, "Hopekook flirting with the aliens now how to be an alien?" Another fan said, "Hobi and Jungkook flirting with aliens and then we have taehyung." Another fan posted a screenshot and asked, "There are so many Army's on the earth...they are flirting with aliens?" During this entire ordeal as fans started tweeting about BTS flirting with aliens, the word Alien started trending on Twitter. One fan pointed out, "Alien is trending.. I wonder whether Twitter will give description as- "ARMYs are jealous seeing Jungkook and Hoseok (J-hope) flirting with Aliens through hologram".
