'My Universe': BTS x Coldplay collab track is out, fans say it sounds 'heavenly'

BTS add their charms to the pop-rock song 'My Universe', which is a quintessential Coldplay song, for the first Coldtan collab

The Coldtan collab that everyone has been waiting for since the beginning of summer is finally here. BTS and Coldplay collaborated on their first song together ‘My Universe’ that was released on September 24. The collab has been momentous since before its release as rumors and audio leaks were flying around the internet weeks before the acts involved even confirmed it. But the wait has been worth it.

Coldplay is set to release their newest album after almost two years. And to tease ‘Music of the Spheres’, they have been gifting fans with several pre-released singles. And their latest one ‘My Universe’ features none other than the global K-pop group BTS. Fans were elated when we saw the two acts meeting and recording together the last few days when BTS was in NYC for the UN’s General Assembly. And this has made the announcement of an upcoming official music video even that much more exciting.

BTS x Coldplay release ‘My Universe’

Coldplay released a schedule and what caught fans’ eye was that ‘My Universe’ is set to have a music video. And since they met up with BTS, we hope that there will be less CGI involved and more of the two acts performing and vibing together in the music video. But along with the pending music video, the Coldtan song is equally amazing. The pop-rock song is a quintessential Coldplay song with BTS adding their charm evident from highlights like the rap line’s verse to the harmonizing in the bridge.

Fans absolutely loved the collab as they couldn’t get over how cleverly the two acts weaved the Korean verses in the Euphoric pop-rock single. We also see J-hope, RM and Suga being credited for their lyrics. Suga and J-hope’s back and forth rap caught ARMY by surprise leading them to trend ‘Sope’ as they tweeted, “Inject the sope transition into my veins.” RM and Jimin’s harmonizing in different registers was another highlight of the song as one fan pointed out, “NAMJOON AND JIMIN HARMONIZING! IT SOUNDS SO GOOD!”

'Heavenly voice'

Jin and Jungkook went all out as usual as ARMY posted, “SEOKJIN’S LINE IN MY UNIVERSE “YOU MAKE MY WORLD LIGHT UP INSIDE”  AND HIS VOICE..,” and “Jungkook’s heavenly voice in My Universe.” Another fan loved V’s deep voice as they added, “Can't get enough of Taehyungs heavenly voice, so beautiful and unique.” “Oh my god its just so amazing and mind blowing the lyrics are so heart touching.. each and every LINE of this song is so meaningful i just love this song  its a master piece.. and the vocals are so fantastic wow .. i am in love with this song ..,” said one fan. Another said, “Two legends combined to make a song of the century, now streaaaaam.”
