Oscars 2018: The best and worst dressed celebrities on the Red Carpet
Hollywood's most glamorous night saw major fashion blunders...
Swarmed with a bright range of colors, the Oscar red carpet ditched the all black dress code. Unfortunately, the renewed colors couldn't make up for major fashion blunders we saw and cannot unsee.
Here is the list of the best and worst dressed attendee.
The 51-year-old Mexican actor was one of the first celebs we spotted on the red carpet but all it took was a glance to cringe on her purple layered gown. The sparkling sequin dress was made more of an eyesore by the strange diamond chain draped across her chest and shoulders.
'Get Out' actress Betty Gabriel made heads turn with a plunging neckline in emerald green Tony Ward Fall 2017 Couture gown. The gold embellishment harmoniously heightened the sensual green and made her look illuminated.
Bold and beautiful Blanca Blanco showed up in a daring red-and-white satin gown with an open keyhole front and a high-cut slit that left very little to the imagination. While we commend her for going for the gown and making a statement, it cannot make it to the best dress category and the low cut with thigh slit is a fashion fail, if not a wardrobe malfunction.
For a second we thought it was Elsa from Frozen. The sheer light-blue embroidery gown that showed off various celestial shapes and a low V neckline made the ice olympian a true diva. Nagasu paired it with an embellished clutch, silver earrings, and a statement ring that expressed her overall persona.
There was one who did not quiet get the message that there was no carpet coordination this time. Sticking to the dress code, singer Taura Stinson, showed up in all black from the #TimesUp movement but unfortunately got it all wrong and we don't have enough time to point out the number of blunders in the dress.
Simple and yet so elegant. The cuts and silhouette of this glamorous red Reem Acra gown made the 58-year-old actress stun the red carpet. Draped in plunging neckline and extra-long angel sleeves, the dress exuded utter sophistication. It was paired with Jimmy Choo heels, a Roger Vivier clutch and a Forevermark diamond choker.
If dresses could talk, this one would say "oops". Activist Patrisse Cullors had a badge pinned to her dress but her skimpy strapped gown didn't make it appealing. She stood out on the red carpet for all the wrong reasons.
The nominated actress floated in her ivory floor-skimming gown that had glitter detailing across the shoulders. She just stole the red carpet show.
We had our heads scratching with Olympian Lindsey Vonn's bizarre feathered gown. What was that anyway?
Grace and Frankie star Jane Fonda in her 80s looked typically ageless.
The 86-year-old Hollywood legend Rita Moreno wore a dress that she wore in 1962
Her dress was a tribute to her late father. "There have been really awesome, really great times and some bad times. My father passed away this year and he's from Eritrea," she said. She added, "‘One day you're going to end up at the Oscars and when you go, you have to honor your people.' So I'm wearing an Eritrean, authentic princess dress. And I'm proud of it."
