'Minisode 2': TXT get 1.4M pre-orders, fans flex '10th most pre-ordered album'

TXT's previous album ‘The Chaos Chapter: Freeze’ had garnered 700k pre-orders 10 days before the comeback had made 917k actual sales

TXT is probably about to have their best-selling album yet with the upcoming release of ‘Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child’. After just 15 days of the pre-orders beginning, it has been reported on April 30 that the album has accumulated more than 1.4 million pre-orders. This is TXT's highest pre-orders ever for any album of theirs. This number is expected to go higher as fans are aiming for 2 million with the release date set for May 9, which means MOAs (TXT’s fandom) has 10 more days left for pre-ordering.

‘Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child’ is already TXT’s highest-selling album as the record was previously held by their 2021 release ‘The Chaos Chapter: Freeze’ which has made over 917k sales. It had also become the longest-charting K-pop album on Billboard in 2021 as it stayed on Billboard 200 for 13 weeks straight since its release. TXT’s album was also on Billboard World Albums and Top Current Album Sales charts for 20 weeks in a row.

TXT set to become million sellers with new album

Fans have some tough competition as they hope to break TXT’s previous records. But the K-pop group’s immense growth is evident as ‘The Chaos Chapter: Freeze’ had garnered only 700k pre-orders 10 days before its release. With ‘Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child’ doubling this number, expectations are high as the album is being anticipated by everyone in the industry. TXT is also set to have their first world tour after the release of their album which has MOAs excited.

Fans are trending ‘TXT Million Sellers’ as they make tweets like, “TXT MILLION SELLERS I TOLD YALL TO SPEAK ON THEM NICELY BUT YALL DIDNT LISTEN AND NOW LOOK WHAT HAPPENED.” Another MOA posted, “Those fandoms dismissing txt not being million sellers when we know that they are the standard! Now they don't have that card to dismiss txt!!!now they surpassed 1.4M in 15 days and being top 10 most pre ordered album!! Always having the last laugh.”

‘Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child’ is also the 10th-most pre-ordered album ever, “Txt is just behind 4 kpop groups in highest number of pre orders …. IN HISTORY.” With Taehyun pledging to put Yeonjun in a freezer, one joked, “Hi kang taehyun of txt a promise is a promise TXT MILLION SELLERS.” Another MOA explained, “The reason why we want to reach 1M sales in the first place is because taehyun said he'll put yeonjun in a freezer if we did.”
