'Groundswell' on Hallmark: Cast, date, plot, and all the latest buzz about romantic comedy
Queen of Hallmark's romantic comedies and Mean Girls alum Lacey Chabert is set to appear in the movie adaptation of author Katie Lee Biegel’s debut novel, 'Groundswell'. The movie is set to premiere on August 21, 2022, on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. The film also stars Ektor Rivera (Sugar Plum Twist) opposite Chabert.
Chabert was last seen in Hallmark's romantic comedy, 'The Wedding Veil Legacy', which was released on February 19th, 2022. You can watch the movie after purchasing it from your Vudu Movie and TV store, Prime Video, Vudu, or Apple store.

Chabert signed a multi-picture deal with Crown Media Family Networks in February under which she will headline and executive produce movies and develop other content for Hallmark Channel and other Hallmark platforms over the next two years.
On May 11th, 2022, Chabert penned down her feelings in a post about her journey with Hallmark, expressing her gratitude to the audience. She further added that she has an emotional attachment to all her Hallmark movies for different reasons. It was then she teased that she was shooting for a new Hallmark movie 'Groundswell'.

Chabert will be essaying the role of 'Emma', an Atlanta-based chef. Rivera will play the role of a surf instructor, Ben, and Emma's love interest. Other cast members include Darren Darnborough (Garett Weston), London Knighten (Chef Tracy), Napoleon Tavale (Sebastian), and Omar Bustamante (Franky).
