'MDLLA': Why Josh Flagg will come to regret his $8M Bedford house renovation
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: 'Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles' Season 15 real estate agent Josh Flagg suffered instant buyer's remorse after he bought his Bedford property for $9,295,000. Flagg was indecisive about his property and decided to get the help of his close friend, co-star, and co-worker, Tracy Tutor. Flagg first decided to sell the property but he later saw the potential and asked Tutor if she would remodel the place. Tutor also saw the potential but wanted to give Flagg a heads-up about the remodeling cost. Tutor brought designer and architect Chad to navigate the place.
The real estate agent and designer visited every corner of the place and estimated that the renovation would cost $8,640,000. Tutor notably warned Flagg about the over budget and advised him to do the renovation for the right reasons. She also told Flagg to take the time to think about every situation but Flagg shouted, "Let’s build a house!" Meanwhile, the preview of the upcoming episode teased the struggle of remodeling which would definitely lead to a lot of disagreements. Despite being close friends, Flagg and Tutor have totally different personalities and may not achieve the best renovation results. Additionally, the disagreements between the real estate agents were bothering Flagg which seemed to be enough to jeopardize and sabotage their friendship.
Why did 'MDLLA' Season 15 star Josh Flagg ditch to sell the $9.2M Bedford property?
Instead of selling, 'MDLLA' Season 15 star Josh Flagg took a very risky path to rebuild the $9.2 M Bedford property. In the confessional, Flagg explained the reason and shared, "I know I said I don't have the energy to do an entire gut renovation of Bedford, and I really don't. That's the honest truth."
Flagg elaborated, "With that said, going out and looking at several houses that are done and realizing that none of them give me what I want, I think to myself, 'Yeah, it's really annoying to build a house. But this is literally one of the most beautiful homes in the flats of Beverly Hills. Do I really really really want to buy something else and get rid of this?"
Josh Flagg and Tracy Tutor's failed negotiation with Josh Altman
'MDLLA' Season 15 star Josh Flagg wanted to buy Josh Altman's Trousdale listing. Flagg sent Tutor for a negotiation with Altman which didn't deliver the expected result. Tracy offered $13.3 million in cash but Altman revealed that the seller wanted $16.995 million.
However, Tutor insisted that the house wasn’t worth more than $14 million considering the market and obstructed views. Flagg decided to chime in and was ready to buy the place for $15 million. Tutor still thought the place was expensive and she alongside Altman agreed to drop their commission. They offered $14.75 million but the seller wasn't ready to sell the place leading to a total failed negotiation.
