'MasterChef: Legends': Anne goes home, fans say she 'deserved' it after Joseph's exit
The pressure and competition are at an all-time high in the 'MasterChef: Legends' kitchen. With eliminations looming over their heads every week, the home cooks have no choice but to put their best foot forward at every turn of the corner.
Despite being in the bottom consistently for several weeks, Anne Hicks always managed to skate by without getting eliminated. 'MasterChef' fans were beyond irked watching Anne continue on show while other talented home cooks were sent home during eliminations on the basis of technicalities or for cooking a too simple a dish. The recently aired episode featured the home cooks being teamed up into pairs for a challenge. Anne was paired up with Joseph Manglicmot. The challenge required the home cooks to create identical dishes while being separated by an enormous wall. Communication was the key to success in this challenge. Owing to Anne's bossy nature, Joseph decided early on that he would simply follow whatever Anne asked him to do and not waste any time arguing or trying to reason with her.

Joseph's decision to simply follow Anne's lead ended up costing him his spot on the culinary show. He ended up being eliminated for cooking a terrible dish. Fans were further upset about watching Joseph leave the kitchen and felt that Anne should have been eliminated instead. But they didn't have to wait for too long to watch Anne get the boot, as he too was sent home in the next elimination challenge.
The home cooks were given sixty minutes to whip up three Japanese-inspired dishes one dish should be grilled, one steamed, and the other fried. All the home cooks tried really hard to whip up three delicious dishes within a limited time. Anne's dish once again fell short. She presented the judges with grilled baby squid, steamed parsnips, and fried prawns. Unfortunately, the dishes failed to make their mark both visually and in terms of flavor. So, Anne found herself once again in the danger zone. This time around the judges decided that her time was up on the show and sent her packing.
Fans were happy to see her leave. A fan tweeted, "Ann screwed Joseph! She deserved to go home! #MasterChef." Another fan wrote, "With that Anne loss, somewhere Joesph is smiling just a little bit. #MasterChef." "Ann should have gone home because she's not as good of a cook boy Joseph really should have spoken up. #MasterChef," added a fan. "Its only fair Anne leaves after she got Joseph sent home lol #MasterChef," echoed a fan.
