Viewers love watching comedy series with well-conceptualized storylines, compelling plots, emotional backdrop, drama, and romance. So to hook viewers to their screens again, Hulu is bringing forth an original comedy series titled ‘Maggie’.

The series is about Maggie (Rebecca Rittenhouse) who is a psychic and can see the future. In a series of events, she suddenly meets a stranger and starts seeing sneak peeks of her own destiny, making things more complicated. The much-awaited comedy series ‘Maggie’ will be released on July 6, 2022, on Hulu.

What is the plot of ‘Maggie’?

The plot of the series revolves around Maggie (Rebecca Rittenhouse), who is a psychic by profession. She finds dating men really hard. As she is a psychic who can see the futures of people, friends, and family, she feels it’s extremely tough to find a sane guy to date nowadays. Then one day, she actually meets a stranger unexpectedly. But things go totally for a toss when Maggie starts seeing some glimpses of her own future and destiny with that stranger, making her love life complicated. Things are never the same for Maggie again.

The official synopsis reads, “Dating is hard enough – it’s even harder when you also happen to be a psychic. Maggie’s gift allows her to see into the futures of her friends, parents, clients and random people on the street. But when she starts seeing glimpses of her own destiny after meeting an unexpected stranger, her romantic life suddenly gets a lot more complicated. Can you let yourself fall in love when you think you know how it ends? She probably should have seen this coming."

Rebecca Rittenhouse as Maggie

Rebecca Rittenhouse, 33, made her acting debut with the film ‘Philadelphia, Ti Amo’. She has also given amazing performances as Ainsley Howard in Hulu miniseries ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’, Dr Anna Ziev in Fox series ‘The Mindy Project’, and Cody LeFever in ABC drama series ‘Blood & Oil’. She has also acted in films like ‘Don't Worry, He Won't Get Far on Foot’, ‘Unfriended: Dark Web’, ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ and ‘Good on Paper’. Rittenhouse is playing the lead role of Maggie in the awaited series ‘Maggie’ releasing globally on Hulu soon.

Latest news about ‘Maggie’ 

The series has been adapted from an original short film which was created by Tim Curcio. Initially, it was slated to release on ABC but now it’s going to be released on Hulu in July 2022. It is a thirteen-episodic series. Each episode will be for around 30 to 45 minutes. The pilot episode is written by Maggie Mull and Justin Adler, and directed by Natalia Anderson.

Andrew Brooks, Natalia Anderson, Tim Curcio, Maggie Mull, and Justin Adler serve as writers and executive producers along with Evan Hayes and Jeff Morton who also serve as executive producers. ‘Maggie’ has been produced by 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios. The screenplay of the series has been written by Justin Adler, and Maggie Mull, along with Tim Curcio and Dani Shank.
