'MAFS' Season 14: Chris calls out Alyssa for wanting to live like 'divorced parents'

Alyssa refuses to help Chris make things work, she kept insisting that she has been trying and that he is the one making her look bad

For Chris, his 'Married At First Sight' experience seems far from smooth sailing. While Alyssa refuses to meet him halfway, she kept insisting that she has been trying and that Chris is the one making her look bad. After an argument over their new apartment spiraled, Chris decided to call his sister Carmen for some clarity.

As he spoke to Carmen, she pointed out that during the wedding, Alyssa's family and friends stated that she often gets upset and cries and that someone like Chris was what she needed to ground her. However, Carmen also told her brother that maybe it was time for him to give up on her.

On the other hand, Alyssa spared no chance to bash Chris in front of the producers. She claimed that he was a 'sh*tty car salesman who sold houses' and claimed that she hates him and even called him an 'a**hole'. To add to it, she also said that her mother was mad at her and blamed her for the situation. Even when Alyssa sat down with Jasmina and Katina, she claimed that she was trying and that Chris invalidated her effort.

Fans called her out on her lies. "Lmaooo Alyssa wants to move in the apartment to be near her cast mates, but not her "husband"? Man, if they don't send her funny looking ass home… #MAFS" tweeted a fan. "How come everyone keeps saying Alyssa needs a guy like Chris? How come Chris doesn't deserve a woman who behaves like an adult? Maybe the families should tell the matchmaker about them the way they do for the wedding vows. She's like a spoiled bratty SMALL child. Like 4 #MAFS" noted a fan. 

While fans didn't spare Alyssa on social media, they noted that Chris needs to stop trying. Chris, who sat down with Lindsey and Mark, explained that everything just seemed to go downhill after the wedding. Lindsey addressed the issue of attraction, to which Chris pointed out that while Alyssa never brought it up, she also never said that it wasn't an issue. Chris felt like they were a good match, seeing that he was attracted to driven and determined women. Lindsey, however, chimed in, saying that even if that were the case, Alyssa would wash up in a few years and regret not giving him a chance.

Fans were exasperated to hear Chris say that he thought they were compatible. "Chris did you really just say you're thinking y'all are compatible? Because why are you trying to make something work with someone who doesn't want this to work?!?! #MarriedAtFirstSight #MAFS" agreed a fan. "Chris hang it up. Don't be like Paige. #MAFS" stated a fan. 

However, Chris finally put his foot down when Alyssa suggested they split their time in the apartment, as she wanted to spend time with the other participants. Chris declared to the group that he cared for all of them deeply but was not in this process for her and didn't want to live with Alyssa like they were 'divorced parents'. He demanded that Alyssa be clear and state if she wanted to be a part of this.
