LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Madame Web’, an upcoming suspense thriller film, is scheduled for release on February 14, 2024. This highly anticipated film focuses on the three Spider-Women Cassandra Webb, Julia Carpenter, Anya Corazon, and Mattie Franklin.

Intended to be the fourth film in Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU), 'Madame Web' tells the story of Cassandra (Dakota Johnson), a paramedic who discovers she can see the future, and three Spider-Women.

Directed by SJ Clarkson, the film revolves around three young women from a mysterious adversary.

Sydney Sweeney takes on the role of Julia Carpenter, the inaugural Spider-Woman in 'Madame Web.' Notably, Julia's Spider-Woman mask sets her apart by lacking lenses.

Within the storyline, Julia acquires her arachnid-like abilities through a sequence of experiments conducted by the organization known as the Commission on Superhuman Abilities.

This organization administers a potent blend of spider venom and exotic plants, resulting in Julia gaining extraordinary powers.

Mattie Franklin

Mattie Franklin is the second Spider-Woman in ‘Madame Web’. Celeste O'Connor takes on the pivotal role of Mattie in the film.

Mattie receives Spider-Man’s abilities and Psionic spider legs after she takes her father’s place in a mystical ritual called The Gathering of Five orchestrated by Norman Osborne (better known as Peter Parker's perennial archenemy the Green Goblin).

Anya Corazon

Anya Corazon, the third Spider-Woman in ‘Madame Web’, receives spider-like abilities from a mystic source while she is caught in a gang war between two mystical clans.

Anya is saved by the mysterious mage Miguel, who is working for the Spider-Society. Anya gets a magic tattoo that gives her immense power.

Isabela Merced, who played the lead role of CJ Martin on the Nickelodeon television series ‘100 Things to Do Before High School’, takes on the pivotal role of Anya in the film.
