If you're currently watching the latest dating game show 'Love is Blind: Japan', you know what the topic of discussion is. From their very first conversation, both Wataru and Midori seemed to hit it off, almost instantly. Is there a reason as to why?

Sure enough, one of the many reasons the like-minded business duo got pally with one another on Netflix's reality dating show was their background of spending time in the US for studies — Wataru in Illinois and Midori in Ohio. Wataru was also quick on his feet to make her laugh. Along with his confident yet charming voice, these were more than enough to woo Midori.

Midori admitted that she tends to have a checklist for the kind of men she's looking for, looks being one of the predominant ones. Although this particular aspect is something she's not proud of, it's the way her mind works.

On the other hand, Wataru is aware that one's appearance and income are both pleasing qualities to sway a woman. Having said that, he wants someone who will look past these surface-level qualities and connect with the person he is on the inside.

After two wholesome conversations with Wataru, the dog-lover revealed that she can't stop thinking about him and the very mention of his name makes her heart race. Midori even opened up about her feelings to Wataru, saying that she'd love to talk to him soon if that'd be something he fancies as well. In response, he only says, "You're holding back". Was this one-sided?

In time, Priya goes to meet Wataru as well and clearly expresses her excitement to the other ladies. A key observation here is that he mentioned to Priya that he used to be married and is currently a divorcee. Midori wasn't informed about such an important detail. Instead, she found it adorable that he remembered her dog Lupin's name.

What game is Wataru playing here? Does he have second thoughts about Midori or are they not on the same page at all? Stay tuned to know more!

'Love is Blind: Japan' was released on February 8 on Netflix.
