EXO’s Sehun is back once again with a lead role. The idol actor previously starred in the global blockbuster ‘The Pirates 2’ which was even acquired by Netflix. It was his first major Korean film and it looks like he is expanding his acting career. Sehun has been roped in to play the main character in the K-drama ‘Love, Do It’.

Sehun started his acting career with small cameos before SM promoted EXO with a drama based on them, ‘EXO Next Door’ in 2015 in which he played one of the main leads. Sehun then went on to get his first main role in a major web drama as he played twins in the action drama ‘Dokgo Rewind’ which was in 2018. He returned after a break in a supporting role for the 2021 popular cable K-drama ‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’. However, it's been a while since we saw him in the main lead and this is about to change with his latest acting project.

Sehun gets his third lead role

It should be noted that both ‘EXO Next Door’ and ‘Dokgo Rewind’ were web dramas streamed on online platforms like Naver and Viki. However, ‘Love, Do It’ could be Sehun’s first main role in a K-drama that will be broadcast on television as it is produced by TVING, a subsidiary of CJ ENM, Naver and JTBC channel. They have produced web dramas like ‘Adult Trainee’, as well as the popular ongoing K-drama ‘Yumi’s Cells’. According to reports, ‘Love, Do It’ is set to be broadcast on CJ ENM’s TV channel, tvN.

And on March 24, SM shared that Sehun would indeed be playing the main lead in ‘Love, Do It’ which is a melodrama about an 18-year-old basketball player, Go-yoo who has a kidney transplant. The drama plays with cellular memory theory as Go-yoo gets the memory of the donor, Jun-hee, who also happens to be his classmate and his first love. This is also Sehun’s first high-school based drama which has EXO fans excited. Production is set to begin in April and the drama will be broadcast in 2022 itself.
