'Love and Leashes': U-KISS Jun explains the S&M and barking scene from the Netflix film

Main leads of the Korean BDSM movie ‘Love and Leashes’ on Netflix react to a few of the funniest scenes for global fans who loved the movie

Korean dramas and movies are going global with streaming platforms like Netflix and Disney+ joining the game producing content for fans to enjoy. Such was the case for the 2022 movie, ‘Love and Leashes’ that released ahead of Valentine’s Day starring not one but two K-pop idols. With U-Kiss’ Jun (aka Lee Jun-young) and Girl’s Generation’s Seohyun playing the lead roles, the Netflix movie actually made a lot of heads turn when it was revealed that the movie was based on a webtoon that dealt with a couple who was involved in an S&M relationship.

Fans who went to watch the movie wondering if there would be some explicit 19+ scene that movies with the theme usually have only to be hit with an emotional ending. Despite the emotional end, the movie was loaded with fun scenes that sent fans into a laughing riot, one scene that stood out on Twitter was the barking scene where Jun-young channeled his inner puppy. In a new video that was released on the YouTube channel, The Swoon, the main leads Jun-young and Seohyun, reacted to the movie. Jun-young, who is currently in quarantine, appeared on the pre-recorded video and discussed some scenes from the movie, in particular the S&M scene as well as the barking scene.

Seohyun and Jun-young react to ‘Love and Leashes’

The video began with both Seohyun and Jun-young reacting to the first scene in which the duo meet each other. As the scene was about Seohyun’s character Ji-woo receiving a parcel with a dog leash that belonged to Jun-young’s character Ji-hoo, Jun-young is seen joking about how he would buy the leash in person instead of having it delivered if something like this happened to him.

As the video progressed the duo also reacted to the scene where Jun-young’s character took on his role of a submissive and pretended to be a dog as he ate kibbles from Seohyun’s character’s hand. Jun-young recalled how it was difficult for him to eat the kibbles as they kept getting stuck to his teeth. Both actors also joked about how they picked the shape of the kibbles themselves.

Jun-young recalls the ‘Barking scene’

The movie may have been loved by fans around the world but the barking scenes from ‘Love and Leashes’ have their own fanbase. Seohyun and Jun-young also reacted to the scene where Jun-young’s character suddenly takes on the role of the submissive too seriously and starts barking resulting in a hilarious scene for fans to enjoy as Seohyun’s character struggled to control him. Seohyun joked about the scene complimenting Jun-young saying, “You did a great job barking.”

Jun-young recalled that he looked up barking videos of smaller dogs to learn how to bark and videos of larger dogs who howled in order to properly prepare for the scenes where he was supposed to bark. He then went on to joke saying, “If you need a stand-in for a puppy, give me a call.”

Seohyun explains the viral scene from ‘Love and Leashes’

One of the first scenes that were used to promote the movie was Seohyun’s character Ji-woo asking Jun-young’s character, Ji-hoo, “Should I step on you?” When discussing the scene, Seohyun mentioned how she was very scared about hurting Jun-young in the process of filming the scene. Both actors then moved on to the scene where Ji-hoo and Ji-woo were handcuffed together in a public park.

The next scene that the two actors reacted to was that of Seohyun’s character hitting Jun-young’s character with a belt in the office. Seohyun explained how the crew cheered on her when she cursed with confidence and Jun-young joked how it felt like a concert. Fans of the movie ‘Love and Leashes’ can watch the entire video here.
