Spoilers for 'Lost in Space' Season 3 Episode 2

The third and final season of ‘Lost in Space’ has started with a bang and the first episode made us realize how epic this journey is going to be for everyone. Season 2 saw the Robinsons getting separated from each other and ending up at different places. The children are on a different planet altogether while John (Toby Stephens) and Maureen (Molly Parker) are on the ship along with Don West (Ignacio Serricchio).

Apart from this, we also saw Will Robinson (Maxwell Jenkins) being in danger because of something he did during the season and now some of the robots are behind him. During the first episode of Season 3, we get an idea that it is Will’s idea to stay on the unknown planet so that robots are not able to find him. Also, he believes that he has some sort of freedom here.

However, things change drastically during Episode 2 as Will and Penny (Mina Sundwall) find something that has been buried for a long, long time. The duo finds a tunnel that has some kind of alien technology behind it. Penny doesn’t believe it, but they both go into the tunnel with Smith standing outside the tunnel. Smith ties a rope to Penny so that she can know that they are in danger and in need of help. Their expedition takes a dangerous turn when they get into a compartment and the doors lock on their own. They are trapped there with Smith realizing that they need help.

A few moments later, Smith finally rescues by opening the door with a weapon. However, the second door opens suddenly and we see Robot standing there. The robot takes them deeper into the tunnel and they find an abandoned and ancient robot city there. Elsewhere, John and Maureen need a Robot to fix the ship they are in. Maureen says that there is robot buried on the planet whose parts can be used to achieve what they want to.

However, when they reach there, the robot is not there anymore and the robot they are talking about is SAR (Second Alien Robot), the robot that attacked Will’s robot on Jupiter 2. They reach the ship empty-handed. But they soon realize that a robot has come inside the ship and they can kill it to do their work. They make a plan and as soon as the robot reaches them, they start executing their plan.

However, Will’s robot says “Family Danger” and shows him and Penny the danger their family is in. Will’s robot uses its power to connect to the robot on John and Maureen’s ship and make them realize that they are safe. Will and Penny talk to their parents and get emotional. They tell them that they couldn’t reach Alpha Centauri due to an accident, but they soon will.

As they lose the connection, John and Maureen get to know that this robot might be helpful to them. The episode ends with a robot repairing another robot and when it comes to life, we find out that it is SAR who’s trying to find Will and finish him.

An interesting episode with a massive cliffhanger.

‘Lost in Space’ Season 3 is currently streaming on Netflix.
