The Robinson family are back for one last adventure in 'Lost in Space' as Netflix will premiere the final season on December 3. Following its debut season, the sci-fi family saga has spanned two seasons and is set for a blockbuster ending this Fall. Showrunner Zack Estrin confirmed Season 3 would be the final part of the Robinson family's adventure, and that makes this installment all the more special.
The official synopsis reads: "In the third and final season of Lost in Space, the stakes are higher than ever and the Robinson family’s survival instincts will be put to the ultimate test. After a year of being trapped on a mysterious planet, Judy, Penny, Will, and the Robot must lead the 97 young Colonists in a harrowing evacuation — but not before secrets are unearthed that will change their lives forever.

"Meanwhile John and Maureen — with Don at their side — must battle overwhelming odds as they try to reunite with their kids. The Robinsons will have to grapple with the emotional challenge of not just being lost — but being separated from the ones they love… as they face the greatest alien threat yet."
And ahead of the much-anticipated premiere, we take a look at the cast list and who plays whom.
Molly Parker as mission commander Maureen Robinson
Parker returns to her role as Maureen Robinson, an aerospace engineer taking her family on a mission to colonize Alpha Centauri in the hope of building a new, and better life in a better world.
Parker earned an Emmy nomination for her role of House Majority Whip, Jacqueline Sharp on 'House of Cards'. Her accolades include two Genie Awards, one Independent Spirit Awards nomination and three nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Award.
The Canadian actor attracted global attention for playing a necrophiliac medical student 'Kissed' (1996).
She also trained in ballet, and spent three years with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet Company.
Raised on a commune, she described as "a hippie farm" in Pitt Meadows, B.C., Parker got the acting bug when she was 16-years-old.
Toby Stephens as John Robinson
Stephens' John Robinson is back in the final season as well and plays a former U.S. Navy SEAL and Maureen's husband. Stephens earned positive critical acclaim best known for the role of Bond villain Gustav Graves in 'Die Another Day', a role that also saw him nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor. He will next be seen in IMDb TV's 'Alex Rider' Season 2.
Parker Posey as June Harris
Turns out that Posey's June has survived. Harris plays a criminal psychopath who assumes the identity of her sister Jessica to replace her on the colony ship. Posey has previously worked on 'Futurama', 'The Simpsons', 'Will & Grace', 'Boston Legal', 'The Good Wife', and 'Parks and Recreation'.
Russell Hornsby
There's not much revealed about Hornsby's character. In an exclusive with Pop Culture, he said much of his character introduction was under wraps for a reason. "I think I have to be sort of 'hush hush' about the character," he said. "They want to make it a nice reveal, but it was my first job in the pandemic." Fans will remember him from one of 2021's breakout series, 'BMF'.
Other cast
Will (Maxwell Jenkins), Judy (Taylor Rusell), and Penny (Mina Sundwall) are all set to return with Don West (Ignacio Serricchio) and Brian Steele as the Robot slated to appear as well.
