'Lost & Found': GOT7 Jackson pulls a Beyonce, fans wonder if ‘Shang Chi’ OST is on it

Jackson Wang drops the English mixtape album 'Lost & Found' without any prior notice

No one seems to be as busy as Jackson Wang. Despite only being in the third month of 2022, the GOT7 star has several singles out, had concerts and performances, collabed with the likes of Amber Liu, appeared on Chinese variety shows, graced magazine covers and now has dropped the digital mixtape album ‘Lost & Found’.

Back in January, the Chinese K-pop idol had dropped the emotional song ‘Jackson Wang’ about his journey from an Olympic-level fencer to a successful entrepreneur and artist. Jackson's self-titled song had topped iTunes in several countries, as well as the Chinese charts Tencent and QQ. We also got the hip hop collab ‘Damn Girl’ with CrazyBoy and ‘Easier’ with long-time friend Amber Liu. But it looks like the GOT7 member was not done as he pulled a Beyonce and dropped a mixtape album without any notice.

Jackson Wang drops mixtape ‘Lost & Found’

On March 7, without any teasers or concept images, Jackson released the English-language mixtape ‘Lost & Found’ on all major music streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music and more. GOT7 fans were pleasantly surprised and scrambled to get to the bottom of it and whether it was real. His label, Team Wang later shared that the mixtape consists of old songs recorded in 2019 that Jackson wanted to share while fans wait for something bigger that is to come soon. One of the songs, ‘Power’ also had fans wondering if it was the ‘Shang Chi’ OST that Jackson couldn’t release due to Chinese censorship not approving the Marvel film.

‘Left no crumbs’

Well, fans were hyped regardless as they trended #JacksonWangLostFound. One fan tweeted, “The vocals and vibe of the whole album is immaculate. jackson wang ate and left no crumbs.” Another Ahgase wondered, “Power does indeed sound like it could have been for Shangchi’s OST.” Many also were surprised that Jackson had disappeared while his mixtape dropped, “Jackson Wang - "LOST & FOUND" OUT NOW 💥 this mixtape is actually so good ✨ but i really do hope we find jackson wang soon cause where the heck is he??”

One fan described the album as “It's like Post Malone and Weeknd had baby.” Many loved the song ‘Vibe’, “THIS PART IN “VIBES” PLEASE WHAT A LOVE SONG.” Another loved ‘I Don’t Have It’, “Omg his voice in ‘I Don't Have It’.” One fan joked, “THE LYRICS ARE TOOOO WILD.” Another mentioned, “#JacksonWangLostFound mixtape is timeless bc even tho these are old songs from 2019(?) they're still bops! we know @JacksonWang852 has grown so much as an artist/producer over the years and knowing him, he will raise the bar even higher for his next new release. I'M HYPED!”
