'Lisa Barlow is right': 'RHOSLC' fans call out Heather Gay for 'weaponizing' her father's death
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH: Fan-favorite 'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' star Heather Gay has come under fire for using her father's death to further her storyline on the Bravo reality show. During the season 2 reunion, 'RHOSLC' Heather accused her fellow housewife Lisa Barlow of being aloof and not checking on her while her father was critically ill and later dying. Despite Lisa's best attempts at defending herself, Heather managed to triumph thanks to her popularity amongst the show's fans.
Tired of being portrayed as the "bad guy", Lisa decided to air out her dirty laundry by posting damaging receipts against Heather. After the reunion, Lisa took to her Twitter to set the record straight by posting screenshots of her text messages to Heather while her father was in hospice. The housewife also shared the condolence message she sent heather after her father's death. As a final nail in the coffin of Heather's reputation, Lisa also posted the obituary announcement of Heather's father's death to point out how Heather faked her father's date of death for a storyline on the show. Lisa's series of explosive tweets left Heather fuming at her co-star. The Beauty Lab founder felt that Lisa was using something as sensitive as a death of a loved one to attack her and accused her co-star of "weaponizing" her father's death against her.

Unfortunately for Heather, 'RHOSLC' fans felt the exact opposite about the situation. Many fans sided with Lisa and her attempts to clear her name and called out Heather for actually "weaponizing" her father's death for a storyline on the show and tainting her co-star's image. A fan tweeted, "I'm with Lisa on this one. Heather brought up her dad's death to try and say that Lisa didn't show support for her. She opened the door for that one #RHOSLC #RHOSLC." "Heather weaponised her dad’s death to attack Lisa at the reunion. @LisaBarlow7 had every right to respond and defend herself. #RHOSLC," wrote a fan. "So wait… @heathergay29 weaponized her dad’s death to falsely paint a negative picture about @LisaBarlow7 at the reunion but Barlow is the bad guy for revealing the truth? I dunno Gay… I love ya but I’m skewing #teambarlow on this one. #RHOSLC @BravoWWHL @BravoTV," added a fan.

Another fan shared, "The whole point of obituaries is to announce a death. A form of celebration. You give them out at a funeral for people to keep. People post them on Facebook. They get published in newspapers. So, on rewatch, what is the problem with Lisa tweeting the obituary? #RHOSLC." "If Heather wouldn’t have lied about Lisa reaching out about her Dad’s death, then Lisa wouldn’t have had to show receipts. Heather isn’t smart enough to realize it. #RHOSLC," pointed out a fan. "Lisa Barlow is right- if Heather didn’t use her father’s death to try and paint Lisa as a liar then she wouldn’t have had to use Heather’s father’s death to clear her name. #RHOSLC," echoed a fan.
