Kenzie Elizabeth gets no from 'American Idol' judges, fans say 'stick to musical theater'
The competition for bagging the golden ticket to Hollywood on 'American Idol' Season 20 is pretty cut-throat, but that didn't stop Kenzie Elizabeth from trying her luck. The Musical Theater enthusiast/ nanny decided to audition for the hit ABC show with Avril Lavigne's 'I'm With You'.
She surprised the show's judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan with her vocal range. Banking on her ventriloquist skills, Kenzie effortlessly juggled between various notes and definitely left the judges tongue-tied. Despite her vocal range, sadly Kenzie failed to secure the golden ticket from the judges. The judges lauded her singing but felt that she was better suited for broadway and theater.

The judges made it very clear that even though she was getting a no from them, it was just for 'American Idol' but not for her music career. They all assured her that she would go very far in the broadway world. Fans too agreed with the judges' assessment and felt that Kenzie should stick to Broadway and musicals.

Kenzie accepted the judges' decision gracefully and declared it as the best outcome she could have gotten. She explained that she felt 'validated' by the judges, and concluded her journey on the singing competition show by hoping for her audition to be telecast. Looks like her wish came true as Kenzie's audition was not only telecast but has also garnered a lot of positive feedback from fans.
