'American Idol' Season 20: Zareh Isa bags golden ticket but fails to impress fans
Zareh Isa decided to give her mother Nadia Turner a surprise of her lifetime by deciding to audition for 'American Idol'. Long-time fans of the hit singing competition might recognize Nadia as the finalist from Season 4. Zareh,22, brought her mother to the audition venue with the ruse of going for a mother-daughter spa day, when the show's host Ryan Seacrest heard her story he was pretty amused.
Finally, Zareh decided to come clean and told her mother that she was auditioning for the hit ABC show. Nadia was pleasantly surprised and pretty proud of her daughter's decision to follow in her footsteps. The young stylist then proceeded to perform Jazmine Sullivan's 'Bust Your Windows'. The show's judges- Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan, were pretty impressed by her vocals. After showering her with praises and pointing out how Naida and Zareh were generational 'American Idol' contestants, they decided to hand her the golden ticket to Hollywood. While the judges were impressed with her performance, sadly the same can't be said for fans.

After watching Zareh's performance several fans took to Twitter to declare that her performance was 'not good' and slammed her song choice. A fan tweeted, "The generational thing is cool but wow she was NOT good. Off pitch a good bit and not exactly a compelling tone. #AmericanIdol." Another fan wrote, "After all that build up this girl Za or Zaza really can’t sing. sad. #AmericanIdol." Another fan added, "That’s a no from me. #AmericanIdol." "Imagine having the Mom right there who they did this big surprise for & then having to honestly judge this girls voice…. #AmericanIdol," pointed out a fan. "#AmericanIdol She should of went with a different song than Bust your windows. It doesn’t fit her voice. She needs to sing with passion," expressed a fan.

The episode also featured the auditions of other contestants such as Jacob Moran, Douglas Mills Jr., Sam Moss, and Haley Slaton among others as they try to grab the golden ticket in the new episode.
