‘American Idol’ contestant Sam Moss auditions twice on Season 20, fans say ‘lucky her’

Giving another shot at her luck, Sam Moss sang an original song called ‘Good by Me’ and managed to serenade all the judges

Jacob Moran, Douglas Mills Jr., Zareh, Charvonay were some of the singers who showed up in the fourth episode of ‘American Idol’ Season 20. Sam Moss is one singer who stood out from the rest as she showed up at the audition for the second time in front of Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan.
 
The Chicago resident had got a yes from Katy Perry earlier but had failed to impress Luke and Lionel. Giving another shot at her luck, Sam Moss decided to sing an original song called ‘Good by Me’ and managed to serenade all the judges. Katy gave Sam a standing ovation the moment she wrapped up her audition. Confessing his mistake, Luke said “I will take back what I said earlier” while giving a yes to Sam. Lionel too admitted his mistake saying he was wrong. In the end, Sam managed to impress all the judges and moved to the next round with a golden ticket to Hollywood in her hand.

Social media users rushed to Twitter as soon as Moss earned the coveted golden ticket. “Wow. Sam Moss auditioned twice this season. Lucky her. It was nice that Katy Perry really fought hard for her. That was a good original song. She really has a talent in singing”, said one user as another posted, “Holy cow! Sam Moss just made me cry on @AmericanIdol She’s sensational! @Adele watch out! Sam’s on fire!” The next one added, “Loved that original song from Sam Moss!” One user tweeted, “There is no doubt that Sam Moss has a good voice, but her Original performance was spectacular. She wore her heart on her sleeve and her voice was even better then before #AmericanIdol” and, another concluded, “Sam Moss is back and is showing her true self: an amazing singer.”
 
The fourth episode of ‘American Idol’ season 20 aired on ABC at 8 pm ET. The show is expected to air a total of18 episodes and might wrap up in late May. The auditions for the new season were held in Los Angeles, Austin, and Nashville. Online auditions too happened with virtual sessions. While the format of the show will remain the same, a new platinum ticket has been introduced that would allow the holders to skip the first day of Hollywood Week.
