'Sonic the Hedgehog 3' casts Keanu Reeves as the voice of Shadow, thrilling fans

The plot of the film will begin immediately after the events of 'Sonic 2', where Dr. Robotnik is struggling with depression, but things change for the better when he creates Shadow the Hedgehog, a character first presented in the video games in 2001's 'Sonic Adventure 2.'

As the story progresses, Sonic the Hedgehog (Ben Schwartz) and Miles Tails Prower (Colleen O'Shaughnessey) start on an adventure to retrieve the Chaos Emeralds from Knuckles the Echidna (Idris Elba).
