BRENTWOOD, LOS ANGELES: Hollywood's favorite comedian and versatile actor Jim Carrey turned 61 on Tuesday, January 17. This comes a few years after he announced his retirement from his acting career. In 2018, he announced he would take a break from his career to spend more time with his family. In addition, he expressed a desire to devote himself to painting and spirituality. Although he claimed to enjoy being a grandfather, he acknowledged that he had not anticipated becoming one in his late 40s. He joked in an interview with nickiswift, "I'm a good grandad, but it's a little embarrassing, I gotta say, in public when just … he's like "Grandpa!" You know, he doesn't hold back at all." The actor then remarked on how close he and his grandson are and made a joke about how the youngster may serve as his bodyguard. Then he further said that they bonded through activities that Jackson finds enjoyable and spent a lot of time together.
Even though he likes playing video games with his grandson, the actor remarked that because of how much more adept his grandson is than he is, he often feels embarrassed by them.
Carrey remarked in an interview with Access, "I just get a lot of joy, a lot of joy from that little boy" while referring to his "magical" grandson. Even going so far as to declare that was the best sensation ever, he continued: "Without this, I die." Carrey and his grandson went to the Sonic the Hedgehog Family Event in April of last year. The two were seen smiling while posing next to a Sonic the Hedgehog mascot. Fans instantly expressed their blessings to Carrey and his grandson after seeing how happy and at ease he is. Another person remarked that the image was adorable and that Carrey looked so happy.
Carrey has been living away from the spotlight for a while now and is still making use of his retirement with the help of his friends and loved ones, who support him in his decision to lead a more sedate, tranquil lifestyle.
