Kate Middleton will have to follow these rules when she has her third baby

The Royal family has some rules laid out when a royal baby is born in the family and Kate will have to follow them.

Kate Middleton and Prince William are just a few weeks away from welcoming another baby. On September 4, 2017, Kensington Palace had confirmed the news that the couple is expecting a third baby and later, the palace broke the news that the due date for baby number 3 is April 2018.

Typically, the royal family waits for three months before they announce the pregnancy but in Kate's case this time around, things were different as she was suffering from with hyperemesis gravidarum (severe morning sickness) and had to cancel various public appearances.

While the Duchess of Cambridge is better now, according to The Sun, there are certain rules that she will have to follow once she has her third baby and these are some of them:

There is no doubt that The Queen plays a major role in the royal family so it is no surprise that she is the first one to know about a royal baby being born. It is only after The Queen has heard the news about the royal baby being born, does everyone else get to hear it. It is reported that Prince William rang his grandmother on an encrypted phone after Prince George was born. Traditionally, the announcement has always been made on an easel outside Buckingham Palace. But Prince William and Kate broke this tradition by announcing the birth of George on Twitter.

When Prince George and Princess Charlotte were born, Town crier Tony Appleton had made both the announcement to the public. This custom dates back to the medieval time when people could not read or write. It is believed that Tony will be performing his duty yet again after the third baby is born.

#3 Home births are preferred

When it comes to the royal family, home births are always preferred. As a tradition, the Queen gave birth to all of her children in Buckingham Palace. However, Princess Diana broke this tradition as she gave birth to sons Prince Harry and Prince William at London’s St. Mary’s Hospital in the private Lindo Wing. Even though Kate gave birth to Charlotte and George in the hospital, it is believed that she will have a home birth for the third one.

Usually, the dads are not allowed in the birthing room as it is believed that giving birth is a process that that is a female-only event and men are strictly banned from the room. However, this rule has been relaxed after the birth of Prince Charles.

Midwives are not allowed to spill out any details with regard to the pregnancy or birth. It is believed that when Kate Middleton gave birth to Princess Charlotte, she had three midwives. There has been no information about how many midwives will be present when Kate is giving birth to her third baby.

Recently, Kate made a solo trip to Oxford, England, Kate visited Pegasus Primary School to learn more about the school’s work with the charitable organization, Family Links, just weeks before her due date. For the occasion, she wore a winter white coat from JoJo Maman Bébé.

During the event, she sat down with young students and their parents as she heard more about Family Links, an Oxford-based organization geared toward empowering students, families, and schools to be emotionally healthy through workshops for the entire family. Looks like the Duchess has been taking on this pregnancy with style.
