#JusticeForGaram: Fans demand apology for Kim Garam as she releases ‘unedited, uncropped’ evidence

Kim Garam posts a lengthy statement with additional evidence to shut down all the allegations against her as fans demand justice for the former idol

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: After the controversial entry and the further controversial exit of Kim Garam from the K-pop industry, the former idol and members of HYBE's Le Sserafim has come out to share her side of the story with the world. Back in April 2022, Garam was embroiled in a school bullying controversy according to which it was reported that she had bullied her former classmates in middle school. The issue was intensified when Kim Garam's accuser hired a law firm to defend herself.

The accuer, Yoo Eun-seo, claimed that Garam had bullied her for years after a small fight between the two parties. Now, as of August 11, Garam still maintains the same statement she initially presented via her label HYBE in May. In her recent clarification, Garam clarified that she did not bully anyone nor was she ever bullied by her classmates. Kim Garam took to her friend's Instagram account as maintains her innocence despite receiving a Level 5 disciplinary action. Not only that but, Garam also shares related documents to corroborate her explanation.

Kim Garam shared additional documents as evidence

In her post via the Instagram account, @y__urm, Garam explains to fans how her dreams of becoming a K-pop idol had been shattered because she was wrongfully accused of school bullying. She explained how she had never bullied anyone nor was she bullied by her classmates. Explaining the "incident" Garam said she only had a verbal argument with a girl who took indecent photos of Garam's friend.

In a different post under the same account, Garam also released additional evidence in the form of the School Violence Countermeasures Committee Explanation Brief from her school narrating the incident in full. In the documents posted by Kim Garam, according to the translations online, everything presented in Kim Garam's statements appears to be the truth. With the accuser's agency only releasing edited documents as proof now as Garam posts full, uncropped, and unedited versions of the same pieces of evidence, fans are rushing back to support the former idol as they trend #JusticeForGaram on Twitter.

Fans are now asking the entire K-pop community to apologize to Kim Garam for cyberbullying her. One fan said, "My dream last two weeks but I’ll appreciate those days” #JusticeForGaram." One more fan said, "There it is. Kim Garam swore at Yoo Eunseo bcos Eunseo uploaded her friend's underwear picture. This is what the kpop community endlessly bullied her for." Another fan said, "Garam knows about us serenes." One fan said, "Remember when Eunseo through her big lawfirm daeryun threatened Garam that they'll release the SVC but in the end, Our girlie Garam was the one who showed it." Another fan said, "Fvcku eunseo, hybe, somu and all of you, I hate you all!!! My Garam deserves the biggest apology at all, y'all didn't just ruin her career, also her dreams and life!!"

One fan said, "Kim Garam tells us once again the real truth, she released the full SVC document. Even after everything she had gone through, she still so brave. Kim Garam is innocent!" Another fan said, "The way all of ran with a manipulated SVC well here you go, Garam isn’t afraid and knows her truth. She shared the whole SVC without cutting like Eunseo who manipulated and outsmarted dumb kpoppies who didn’t question s**t." One fan said, "She deserves the biggest apology from kpop and non-kpop stans." Another said, "I'm glad yudimi and garam have each other ,To hold each other hands in difficult time . They both are brave girls . Me and all the serenes are proud of them."

One fan explained, "Kim Garam received her No. 5 school violence punishment for….. For SWEARING & calling out Eunseo after what Eunseo did. - NO.5 measure is one of the most COMMON punishments at her middle school according to the MOE Keris database. Zero to do with severity." Another fan said, "Kim Garam at 12 year old wanted to protect her friend from someone who took a picture in only her underwear and in revenge this person posted it online on someone else's account. Garam cursed and was punished. Has payed the price since."

One more fan said, "Kim Garam was framed and defamed by those who bullied her and those who never wanted her to succeed beyond them. They tried to ruin her reputation and life with false allegations. They succeeded." One fan said, "Y'all believed the document that was cropped out and here garam giving you the FULL version." Another fan said, "Garam isn’t Eunseo’s only victim but there’s more people who Eunseo had bullied. Justice for the real victims and Kim Garam."
