'Jackass' star Johnny Knoxville revives his acting career with Hulu's 'Reboot', fans say he's 'killing it'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: As Y2K is trending, a new series revolving around the theme of the early 2000s was recently adapted by Hulu. 'Reboot' is about the dysfunctional cast of the early 2000s hit sitcom called 'Step Right Up' (which only exists in the 'Reboot' realm), who must face their unresolved issues and navigate a vastly different media and entertainment environment when a young writer successfully pitches a reboot of their show. However, the person who has apparently "stolen the show" is none other than Johnny Knoxville.
Johnny Knoxville is seen as Clay Barber, the actor and raunchy stand-up comedian who played "Jake", the ex-husband in 'Step Right Up' and is now dealing with a lifetime of alcoholism, drug abuse, and repeated arrests for minor crimes. Regardless, fans are in awe of the actor overall. Knoxville rose to fame with MTV's reality stunt show 'Jackass' which aired for three seasons. However, Hulu's 'Reboot' is quite different than his previous projects.

During a recent interview with Variety, Knoxville spoke elaboratively about his character in 'Reboot'. "He’s a pretty colorful character… a lot of demons. And he’s doing the best that he can. He’s not always gonna do it the best way, but he’s trying to hold it together. You kind of like that guy," said Knoxville. He continued, "I have a kind of perverted view of Hollywood because I’m kind of in the business and kind of not. 'Jackass' and (the 2013 spinoff) 'Bad Grandpa' are made unlike any other films in Hollywood."
After this interview surfaced online, all the OG fans of Knoxville could barely keep calm and shared their thoughts about his new series relentlessly. A fan said, "It’s nice to see Johnny Knoxville in a new light. the wildboyz have grown up so much."
Another added, "#RebootOnHulu is becoming my new weekly fav because, well.. it’s excellent writing & characters, super funny, and I’m reaaally loving silver fox Johnny Knoxville."
A fan shared, "I’m trying to figure out why Johnny Knoxville has grabbed me so hard during this show. He’s so good and I’m glad he was given a chance to show off. And this show has come so far since the first episode - it’s going to be torturous waiting for a new season."
One fan tweeted, "Yea @realjknoxville is hilarious in jackass. But this dude is killin it in @RebootOnHulu." "Again going to say I’m OBSESSED w/ @hulu @RebootOnHulu such a great cast, witty writing & just an easy fun show to watch! My crush on @realjknoxville has nothing to do w/ it! Seriously why ain’t this show trending 24/7," a fan said.
