When will 'The Handmaid's Tale' Season 5 Episode 9 premiere on Hulu?
We are in the endgame now and things are only going to get intense from here for June and Serena. Season 5 of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ is inching toward its conclusion and it seems that it’s time for Serena to get punished for everything wrong that she has done in her past. In last week’s episode, the character played by Yvonne Strahovski was forced to deal with several harsh realities. First, she realized that Gilead doesn’t care about her even though she is trying to take it globally. On the other hand, we saw Luke’s hatred toward Serena reaching a whole new level after he made his intentions clear and was willing to take her baby taken from her.
Meanwhile, June (Elisabeth Moss) might be feeling bad for her because she knows the feeling of a child taken away from her mother and how it’s so hard to even think about having a life after such a catastrophic situation. Also, she might help Serena this time around because Serena saved her from death. June was in captivity and Serena had the perfect opportunity to kill her, but she did the exact opposite and killed the man who had June with him. They both drove off to a secure location where June helped Serena in delivering her baby.

With only a handful number of episodes remaining, it’s highly unlikely that Hulu will take a chance of taking a break and as of now, there’s no news of the dystopian drama going off air for a week or so. This means, ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ will follow the original schedule and the new episode will premiere exclusively on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at 12:01 am EST.
It will be interesting to see how the makers deal with the situation that Serena is in and it looks like things are going to only get rough from here. A lot has changed for her in the last couple of episodes because she’s not privileged anymore and even people from Gilead, her apparent home, have also turned out to be her enemy. So, she has hit rock bottom and it seems there’s more rock bottom to come for her. These situations might give her a chance to reflect on everything she has done in the past and show more remorse. But, will it be so easy to trust her? Possibly not and that’s completely fine because she has done some really evil things along with her husband.
Whatever the outcome might be, one thing is clear the rivalry between June and Serena is not over.
