Jin to sing solo OST for K-drama 'Jirisan', ARMY wonder if BTS star will act too
October is already starting out to be a good month. Other than being Jimin’s birthday month, we got great news on the first day of the new month itself. It has been reported on October 1 that BTS’ ‘Worldwide Handsome’ star, Jin will be singing his first solo OST ever. Movie star Jun Jihyun’s latest K-drama ‘Jirisan’ is the most anticipated show of the second half of 2021. Ever since its announcement, everyone is looking forward to it.
The first OST of their drama will be sung by none other than Jin. In tvN’s statement, they shared that the BTS member had lent his voice for one of the main theme songs of the drama. Anticipation has increased as the OST is said to be heard in the middle of the show. The lineup also includes Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and Gaho. While Jin has sung an OST before, it has been with other members making the ‘Jirisan’ track his first solo K-drama OST.

Jin to sing OST for 'Jirisan'
As one of the biggest K-pop groups, BTS is most highly sought after for their heavenly voices. They first contributed to a K-drama OST for V’s acting debut. Jin and V sang the OST ‘Even If I Die It’s You’ for the show ‘Hwarang’. The boys have also released an album titled ‘BTS World OST’ which is an album full of original soundtracks. Jin’s solo theme song was titled ‘Wish’. We then had V singing the OST for his friend’s drama ‘Itaewon Class’. Starring none other than his co-star Park Seojoon, V sang ‘Sweet Night’ which became one of the biggest OST of 2021.
And expectations are high for Jin’s solo OST. Not only that, ARMY think that there is something more in store. For a couple of years, BTS’ label BigHit has been hinting at acting debuts since the members and their fandom have shown an avid interest. But nothing as such has materialized. Jin was in the news just last week as Hollywood actor Simon Pegg confessed that he would like to act with the K-pop idol. With the K-drama industry and the fandom getting louder for ‘Actor Jin’, BigHit just might give in.
'Actor Jin next'
ARMY have been trending ‘Jin OST King’ and ‘Actor Jin’ to celebrate the news. They made tweets like, “1st october already giving us jin ost blessed, that’s how we start a month so true,” “OMG finally, after the long wait we will finally get jin ost, hoping for actor jin next,” and “Jin ost in jirisan, the most anticipated drama, starring THE jun jihyun and WE WIN AGAINNNN.” Another added, “Well deserved BTS Kim Seokjin: Silver Voice, Powerhouse Vocal.” One shared, “Omg kim seokjin will be singing the main theme song for drama "jirisan" im crying its finally happening im so proud of him and what if next actor jin ?? JIN OST KING.”
