Jennifer Lopez had been missing from the big screen for some time. With the singer's busy singing career and other business ventures, it is understandable that JLo's return to the silver screen would be delayed. Well, 2022 brings the firehouse singer back into our lives and on our TV screens with a rom-com. Peacock's 'Marry Me' is touted to be the perfect watch for Valentine Day's week.

'Marry Me' revolves around the famous singer Kat  Valdez (Jennifer Lopez), who was all set to marry her co-singer Bastian (Maluma) in front of the global audience. But things turn out dramatically different when Kat learns that her partner is cheating on her with her assistant. On the edge of a panic attack, she looks at the audience and finds a stranger Charlie (Owen Wilson), holding a banner that reads 'marry me'. Kat immediately says 'Yes' and pulls him up on the stage and ties the knot with him. With a star cast like JLo and Wilson, what is not to like? Audiences have had their say and while there are some who loved the rom-com, some found nothing new to distinguish it from the earlier movies JLo has starred in.
