LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The fantasy series, 'Shadow and Bone' Season 2 hit the streamer’s English-language TV chart at number 2 for the week of March 13-19, tallying 50.4 million hours viewed in the days since its March 16 debut. It struggles to hold a flame to the 64.1 million hours viewed that 'You' Season 4 drew during that week. However, 'Shadow and Bone' showrunner Eric Heisserer has revealed that scripts for a 'Six of Crows' spinoff series have already been completed.

Speaking factually, it appears to be not just the fate of 'Shadow and Bone' Season 3 that depends on Season 2’s performance, but also a potential 'Six of Crows' spin-off series as well, meaning more is riding on Season 2 than usual. Given that this is a fairly expensive fantasy production, 'Shadow and Bone' probably have a higher bar than most. The second season of the epic drama brings back familiar faces, including Ben Barnes as General Kirigan, Freddy Carter as Kaz Brekker, Amita Suman as Inej Ghafa, Danielle Galligan as Nina Zenik, and Calahan Skogman as Matthias, as well as Kit Young as highly trained sharpshooter member of the Crows, Jesper Fahey. Apart from original cast members, the second season of the series also introduced new faces, including Patrick  Gibson, Lewis Tan, and Anna Leong Brophy, with Jack Wolfe joining the cast as the Crows' alchemist Wylan Hendricks.

'Six of Crows' spin off

Speaking with Comicbook, Heisserer revealed that all eight episodes of a planned 'Six of Crows' spinoff series have already been written. He praises his writing team for crafting the story, which will take place after the events of 'Shadow and Bone' season 2. He said, "The Crows absolutely require their own show for that heist, and I know that because we've written all eight scripts for that. It's the best writing my team has done. In part, it's because it's the best writing that Leigh [Bardugo] has built for us."

'We’ll be seated'

After the news surfaced online, fans went berserk. A fan said, "we’ll be seated," while another wrote, "it's a need." A fan shared, "i only watched shadow & bone for the crows story so i’d watch the crap outta this." A fan tweeted, "more helnik pls bc s2 gave us crumbs and i’m mad abt it," while another added, "Go watch Shadow and Bone everyone and anyone. It’s bingeworthy and quick if your into fantasy action and a bit of romance go watch on Netflix 2 seasons out now."

With 'Six of Crows' already written, there's a strong possibility that the Crows will not appear as prominently in a potential 'Shadow and Bone' Season 3. Watch 'Shadow and Bone' on Netflix.
