When did Triston Harper start singing? 

Growing up in McIntosh, Alabama, Harper was surrounded by the soulful melodies of country tunes that echoed through his home and community. However, it was a special moment with his grandfather that ignited his passion. When Harper was around 10 years old, he shared how his grandfather, from Alabama, invited him into the living room. Harper eagerly joined him, not knowing what to expect. His grandfather then played a Johnny Cash song called 'I Was There When It Happened,' explaining that it was one of the first songs Cash ever recorded.

As Harper listened, he was captivated by the way Cash told a story through his singing. It was a moment that deeply resonated with him, igniting a passion for country music and storytelling. From that day on, Harper knew that he wanted to follow in Johnny Cash's footsteps, using music as a means to share stories and connect with others.
