'The Night Agent' Season 4 adds powerful new cast to the show — signaling more twists and turns
Netflix just made an exciting announcement about 'The Night Agent' Season 4. The thriller series will return with four new faces, who will be part of Agent Peter Sutherland’s (Gabriel Basso) next mission. The streaming giant announced this on April 22, 2026, a month after renewing the show for another season. These new additions to the cast are Titus Welliver, Li Jun Li, Trevante Rhodes, and Elizabeth Lail.
'The Night Agent,' created by Shawn Ryan, is a globe-trotting action thriller that follows Agent Sutherland as he solves international conspiracies, dismantling terrorism plots that could destabilize the United States government. The show also features Luciane Buchanan, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Sarah Desjardins, Jennifer Morrison, and Stephen Moyer, among others, in prominent roles. No information regarding the new cast’s characters has been officially revealed yet. However, as per Deadline, Titus Welliver will play a special DOJ prosecutor named Duval. Trevante Rhodes will play Peter's new partner, Dom, and Li Jun Li will portray his wife, Min. Elizabeth Lail, known for her performances in 'You' and 'Mack & Rita,' will play Peter's ex-fiancée, Zoe.
Lail has also worked on projects such as 'Five Nights at Freddy’s,' 'Once Upon a Time,' 'Elsbeth,' and 'Dead of Summer.' However, her appearance in 'You' as one of Joe Goldberg's (Penn Badgley) earliest obsessions is her most recognizable work. On the other hand, Welliver is a popular television actor, best known for playing the Man in Black in 'Lost.' His other notable works include 'Deadwood,' 'Sons of Anarchy,' 'Bosch,' and 'Bosch: Legacy.' He has frequently collaborated with Ben Affleck on multiple films, including 'Gone Baby Gone,' 'The Town,' 'Argo,' and 'Live by Night.'
Li played an important character in Ryan Coogler's 'Sinners.' She first gained prominence through her performance in the psychological horror mystery film 'Alma and the Wolf,' while also making minor appearances in 'Babylon,' 'S*x/Life,' and 'Billy & Billie.' Rhodes rose to fame through his performance in the Best Picture winner 'Moonlight' in 2016. Since then, he has been part of projects like 'The Predator,' 'Bird Box,' and 'Mike.' Most recently, he landed the lead role in Tyler Perry's 'Mea Culpa' alongside Kelly Rowland.
'The Night Agent' season three ended with Agent Sutherland taking a much-needed break from work. His boss, Agent Aiden Mosley (Albert Jones), informed him about a suitable candidate who could be his partner. Shawn Ryan, series creator, showrunner, and executive producer, had previously told Tudum that Mosley’s words were “meant to be a launching pad for Season 4.” It has been revealed that Season 4 will be set in Los Angeles. Fans will have to wait for more updates from Netflix to learn about Agent Sutherland’s upcoming challenges.
