'RHOA' Season 17 Episode 4: Maury Povich's cameo exposes truth behind Pinky Cole's vegan claim
The latest ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ (RHOA) Season 17 Episode 4 titled, 'Where's the Beef? and the Budget?,' featured an exciting turn of events, including Pinky Cole Hayes and Phaedra Parks’ disagreement regarding the former being a vegan. Fans must remember Pinky, who is Slutty Vegan founder, and joined Bravo with the show’s current season 17. Viewers witnessed a heated disagreement between Pinky and Phaedra. It started after Pinky asked fellow cast members regarding Phaedra, who was “telling people I eat meat” at a charity event she hosted. However, Phaedra denied the allegations.
‘RHOA’ fellow cast member Shamea Morton agreed with Pinky and admitted that she had also heard such from Phaedra. “No, I did not. I remember telling you Pinky had lots of accolades and one was owning a Jamaican restaurant,” responded Phaedra. A flashback clip featuring Shamea telling, “I swear I thought the lady told me that Pinky eat meat,” in her private confessional. An additional clip featuring Phaedra and Shamea’s telephone conversation showed the former saying, “Before (Pinky) started this vegan stuff, that girl used to have a Jamaican restaurant serving meat, honey.” ‘RHOA’ star Pinky refused that and shared that she was “plant-based.” She added, “I was a producer for the Maury show, so I got a lit detector test in my back pocket. And I’m like, “Do I need to pull it out?’”
To everyone’s surprise, fans saw Maury Povich stating he had the results for Pinky’s vegan lie detector test. “Pinky, when it comes to the accusation that you’ve been secretly eating meat…the lie detector test says…that was a lie. Pinky, you’re still a vegan,” he said virtually. Listening to him, Pinky thanked him for announcing the results. Since Pinky joined the ‘RHOA’ cast, fans have witnessed her business growing and the struggles she has faced. She had also been quite open about how she has been rebuilding the Slutty Vegan business. It was founded in 2018, initially as a delivery concept. Soon, it grew across various locations. Among many things that caught everyone’s attention was the unique names assigned to the vegan dishes on the menu.
Elsewhere in the latest ‘RHOA’ episode, fans witnessed a meeting between Kelli Potter and Pinky. Pinky saw Kelli ordering a few items at the counter. She confessed to the cameras, “You know, I’m a reformed slut. And when I started Slutty Vegan, I’m like, you know what? A slut needs to call a slut a slut. And we’ve been calling people sluts ever since.” As the two sat down and had a chat, they later discussed how Pinky’s Slutty Vegan was on the verge of bankruptcy. Kelli talked about the difficulties and legal battles Pinky was going through, and still, she was planning the charity for the community. Listening to that, Pinky told her she had had a “rough” couple of days, and she was thinking of “filing for bankruptcy.” Kelli replied that she was also going through the same thing herself.
