'Stranger Things' fans are already diving headfirst into the show's final season, but now there's an unexpected new mission on the horizon, and it involves a trip to McDonald's. As the world gears up for the long-awaited finale of the fifth and final season, the fast-food giant has launched a special promotion that has collectors buzzing and fans racing to grab a meal before the Upside Down steals the toys away. The first volume of ‘Stranger Things’ 5 dropped on November 26, kicking off the beginning of the franchise's last act.

With anticipation at an all-time high, McDonald's is adding fuel to the frenzy by offering a series of exclusive figurines modeled after some of the show's most iconic characters. These limited-edition toys are available only for a short time and are included with several of the chain's most popular menu combos. Each collectible figurine features a character central to the story that has hooked audiences since 2016. The lineup includes Eleven, Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Will, and the show's terrifying original monster, the Demogorgon, as per AS USA.

The selection brings fan-favorite heroes with a touch of Hawkins' signature horror, making the toys appealing to collectors and longtime fans. Customers in participating regions can score one figurine per qualifying meal. Eligible items include classics such as the Big Mac, Quarter Pounder, 9-piece McNuggets, McChicken, and other select combos, depending on the restaurant. With six total toys to collect, fans have been making multiple visits, and in some cases, even swapping figurines with others, as they attempt to complete their sets. The promotion first launched in Spain on November 11, where it immediately caused a stir among fans eager to get their hands on the new collectibles.

Shortly after, on November 18, McDonald's rolled out the campaign across several Latin American countries, including Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Panama, and Uruguay. Social media soon filled with photos, unboxings, and trading posts from fans flaunting their collections. However, U.S. fans are still in limbo. McDonald's has yet to confirm whether the 'Stranger Things' figurines will make their way to American locations, according to Merca2.0. While the company has remained silent on a release date, the global demand and the show's massive U.S. following have sparked hope that a stateside launch could still happen.

Meanwhile, Netflix's rollout strategy for the fifth season ensures that 'Stranger Things' will remain at the center of pop culture conversation throughout the holidays. The series' farewell is being released in three volumes, with Volume 1 (episodes 1–4) having arrived on November 26, Volume 2 (episodes 5–7) set to drop on December 25, and Volume 3, the final episode, landing on December 31. Fans who want the full 'Stranger Things' experience, from binge-watching to figurine-hunting, will want to act fast before these limited items disappear.
