Is GOT7 releasing an album or will Youngjae go solo? Ahgases sleepless after hints

Jay B and Bambam tease Youngjae solo next, but the latter has a witty response that has Ahgases going wild

It is no secret that Ahgases were scared about GOT7’s future after it was announced that they would be leaving their old company JYPE. They thought that the beloved boy group would not last the seven-year contract curse. However, the boys have again and again assured that they’re not going anywhere. They had said that for the year 2021 they would be focusing on their individual careers and hinted at Youngjae’s solo debut next.

But we might be getting a GOT7 album before the year ends or fans think so. The latest member to have a solo album was their leader, Jay B. He released ‘Somo:Fume’ on August 26 and since then has been actively promoting it on social media accounts. With Jackson announcing his English album for November and Mark shooting his music video, Ahgases have been wondering about Youngjae.

Youngjae solo

Fans have been eagerly waiting for Youngjae’s solo debut, but to no avail. While he has released some tracks under the name Ars, we have yet to get a solo album from him. But we might be getting it sooner than ever. Jay B recently acknowledged it by commenting, “Youngjae’s releasing his album...soon?” Bambam then came on VLive on September 1 and warned, “Next, better be Youngjae.”

GOT7 2021 album

And then we had Youngjae come on Twitter to chat with Ahgases after Bambam’s live. Fans flooded him with mentions asking if he was truly the next GOT7 member to have a solo debut. He tagged Jay B and Bambam and cheekily replied, “Maybe it’s our GOT7 album?” Bambam commented “Yes?” while Ahgases went into a frenzy. With GOT7 spoiling as much as they can in the past, fans are not writing off Youngjae’s flippant tweet as it could be true.

Whether he said it to deflect the questions about his solo debut which could be next or if GOT7 are reuniting before the year ends, fans are excited. In 2021, we’ve only had one single from the group. ‘Encore’ is a self-produced track that the boys released in January 2021 after they left JYPE to assure fans that they would always be together. Since then, the boys have been releasing music one by one. While we did get OSTs and a musical from Youngjae, his solo debut is much anticipated.

Ahgases don’t know what to believe

With Youngjae teasing fans with the GOT7 album tweet and going to sleep, Ahgases have stayed up all night trying to figure out the boys’ next course of action. And of course, making reaction memes like, “Youngjae said smthg and goes to sleep meanwhile we,” “Youngjae after tweeting about got7 album,” and “This is how guys sleep after making the fandom of 8M sleepless:.” One Ahgase tweeted, “I’m laughing at how nobody is believing Youngjae when he said it might be a GOT7 album coming soon, even tho it’s literally a GOT7 member saying it.”
