Is Dorit Kemsley getting fired? Internet demands Bravo 'start fresh' as 'RHOBH' star awaits contract renewal
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Dorit Kemsley is apparently the only surviving cast member of 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' who is still awaiting a contract for the forthcoming 14th season. As stories circulate of Dorit being the next member on the chopping block, fans demand that Bravo recast the whole ensemble and start over.
Following the departures of Crystal Kung-Minkoff and Annemarie Wiley, a rumor claims Dorit, whose husband Paul "PK Kemsley" just had his own series canceled, is yet to be renewed for further episodes. "She’s the last cast member waiting for confirmation to return, and casting are not sure if they want her back," a source informed The Zone via Instagram on April 18.
"Her return is on a knife’s edge. They have also discussed demoting her, but it’s not clear what they want to do right now."
Reacting to the news, fans on Instagram wrote, "Up next…bankruptcy & divorce. This TV Series needs to be renamed as virtually no cast members are real or married." While another user said, "I don’t need Dorito back."
One user even suggested, "BH needs the NY treatment. They all need to go & start fresh with authentic HW’s." A fourth user added, "Praying she gets CHOP."
Some users chimed in, "No! She needs to go." "Long overdue," wrote another.
Why did 'Selling Super Houses' get canceled?
Dorit is waiting to hear if she will be returning to 'RHOBH', while her husband, PK's real estate series, 'Selling Super Houses', has been canceled. On April 18, National World stated that Channel 4 had canceled the competition show after only one season, stating that it had originally shown at 9 pm before being shifted to 10 pm and finally 11 pm.
Why was Crystal Kung Minkoff fired from 'RHOBH'?
A source exclusively informed Us Weekly that Crystal is "devastated" by her departure from 'RHOBH'. "She was fired because she didn't deliver," the insider claims. "Producers told her she doesn't have a storyline, so they had to let her go."
Crystal announced her departure in an Instagram video posted on April 15. Crystal, who joined the cast of 'RHOBH' in 2021 for Season 11, admitted that being the first Asian American on the show came with "a lot of weight" on her shoulders.
She joked that she wasn't saying "goodbye" but "see you soon." Following her social media post, fans and celebrities alike expressed their thoughts on Crystal's leaving. Her spouse, Rob Minkoff, quipped that he was going to "bring it" in the upcoming season.
Why was Annemarie Wiley fired from 'RHOBH'?
Annemarie will not return to 'RHOBH' for a second season, a choice she claims was not her own. The 41-year-old nurse anesthesiologist, who has four children with retired NFL defensive end Marcellus Wiley, announced her departure on Instagram with a long message ahead of the show's 14th season.
Though Annemarie's entrance in the season's sixth episode drew plaudits from fans, they rapidly turned against her as she engaged in a seemingly never-ending discussion with Sutton Stracke regarding the size of the Sutton shop owner's esophagus. Annemarie stated it was a topic of conversation assigned to her by producers.
Annemarie went on to state that she was disappointed because "fans never got to see the real me or even a glimpse of my unique life story," and that many aspects of her were "taped but never shown last season." The note she wrote concluded with a message of thanks to those who supported her and best wishes to her fellow Beverly Hills Housewives.
