LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The first trailer for 'Deadpool & Wolverine,' starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the lead, was released in the 2024 Super Bowl and has caused a lot of enthusiasm on the Internet.

Given the abundance of R-rated jokes in the trailer, with Wade Wilson literally referring to himself as "Marvel Jesus", viewers are questioning the age rating for the epic Claws and Chimichangas collaboration.

'Deadpool & Wolverine' will be Marvel's first-ever R-rated film

The Super Bowl premiere of the trailer for 'Deadpool & Wolverine' all but confirms the movie will be Marvel's first-ever R-rated film in the US.

The R-rating, denoting Restricted content suitable for viewers over 17, signals the inclusion of adult material. Some fans had concerns about toning down the adult humor, especially with Deadpool entering the MCU for the first time.

However, the trailer swiftly dispels any worries as Wade quips, "P*****g isn't new for me, friendo, but it is for Disney."

Reynolds, embracing the adult tone, also shares various innuendos on social media.

Producer Kevin Feige had previously reassured fans that the film would be R-rated from the start, expressing excitement about Hugh Jackman's return. "That’s our first R-rated film. To have Hugh come back is incredible," Feige told Entertainment Weekly.

'Deadpool & Wolverine' boasts of graphic violence

The film features brutal and graphic violence mixed with dark comedy, which contributes to its R-rating. Furthermore, Deadpool and Wolverine's key character traits serve as a prerequisite for the adult rating.

The film will also incorporate elements from Loki's universe, which will make for an enjoyable viewing experience.

While its integration with the Marvel Cinematic Universe has the potential to revitalize the failing universe of superheroes, it will be interesting to witness two of the most beloved superheroes team up on screen.
